That shot of Light with the glass steps and his eyes is so good I can’t even put it into words

Rest in peace L… Without L the world is just a word..

What was from the manga that got cut in the anime of L's death was his last thoughts. When Light held him and then saw the look on Light's evil face this is what L said "Light Yagami... I knew it. I wasn't wrong, but I..." that look on L's face was both one of relief that he knew in the end he was always right about Light that his deduction was never wrong, but also regret since he didn't want to die. RIP L 😢

Sometimes (alot of the time) this show is goofy as hell, but... "Tell me, Light, from the moment you were born, has there ever been a point where you've actually told the truth?" This line hits hard.

The roof scene confirms IMO that he knew. He just still couldn't prove it. That roof scene is my favorite in the show without a doubt. Also that scene after the cold open fashback, with L standing there and Watari asking whats wrong is so sad.

Some people like Light, some don't. I personally love the unique idea of having the Protagonist be more of a villain. Very few shows go down that route and do it well. And the absolutely genius plan from the previous episode combined with this one was extremely well thought out. Light manipulated everyone, even himself. And it's a shame. We can see from episodes 17-24 that Light really was a different person without the notebook. He actually had compassion and cared for people. But power corrupts. And absolute power corrupts absolutely. Light cared for people. Light cared for L. Kira did not.

L definitely knew that light was Kira all this time that's why he told him "guess we will be parting away soon" if he didn't die and tested the death note it would be game over for light, RIP L 😭💔

The end is near, only 12 ep left.

I love kira so much for this episode, everyone is totally Sincere and open heart in this episode except him, from then on he becomes something other than a human being

L’s death has to be one of saddest in anime. Killed by the person he thought was his only friend

The devilish grin at 15:20 is my fucking screenshot. The face of victory! He planned it to perfection. Every one just drops their head usually at that point cause they know hes scum but damn if he aint the best villain in history

Now you know why in some anime conventions people take out the "A" from the "Ladies" room.

This is when the show goes from being a 10/10 to a 9/10. Don't worry the upcoming episodes are still great.

Jesus washed Judas' feet, and it was a metaphor for forgiveness. Similarly, L forgives Light, knowing that he will die soon. Despite everything, he respects Light and forgives him for killing him.

I love it when light wins this is my favorite episode of this season

The end is near and it's not gonna be mellow.

I think the show is still great without L. I get it that the best character dying is a huge loss and it's a valid reason for some people losing interest, and I get that the anime cut out a couple semi-important pieces of the story in the post L arc. But it's not like other TV shows that harshly fall off after a main character or main writers departure, like this is not a post Micheal Office or Game of Thrones final season tier scenario, the drop in quality in Death Note after L is pretty minor and in my opinion still has a very satisfying conclusion.

He sees a part of himself in him and at the same time there is something hyperbolized and distorted and hurtful in Light that he can't accept. At the very least, they could be friends, but not in this universe, but perhaps in the fan universe. They are more committed to their views than to any feelings that might get in their way. Fans comfort themselves with their union and cry why didn't something )😏 like that happen in this scene. Literally a L Episode. End is Near

fun fact: nobody knows the real name or face of the author of death note. Also I tuned out after this episode because this was the ORIGINAL ending. the rest were just added to milk the series.

Yeah this is the point I lost all interest in the show, L replacements absolutely did not do it for me and I just didn't like the remainder of the show.

I was so hurt I stopped watching after this episode.
