To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to play Silencer. The abilities are extremely demanding, and without a solid grasp of Dota 2 mechanics most of the plays will go over a typical player’s head. There’s also Nortrom’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his voice lines - his personal philosophy draws heavily from telling people to STFU, for instance. The Silencer mains understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this hero, to realise that pressing R doesn't just win the team fight - it says something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Silencer (stupid mid mains) truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Nortrom’s existential catchphrase “SILENCE!,” which itself is a cryptic reference to his spells. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as the sight of minus 2 intelligence unfolds itself on their PC monitor. Silence, fool! My edge grows sharper. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a special silencer build. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 Intelligence points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
