The OST version of Heaven's Night is a bit different so I decided to record and loop the in-game version for those who prefer it. Anyways, enjoy and chill
“Dad, why is my sisters name Rose?” “Because your mother loves Roses” “Oh, thanks Dad” “No problem Silent Hill 2 - Heaven’s Night (In-game version) 1 Hour Loop”
for some reason I always listen to this soundtrack while it's 4 am outside the balcony and stare down at streets and think about all of my past mistakes, no other game effected me this emotionally as this game
It makes me sad knowing there will never be another game like this. Edit 10/10/23: Yes everyone I'm aware of the remake! I want to be excited but the team making it doesn't have an amazing track record of amazing games. Oh well, I'm still optimistic that they will come through on it.
Seems like something new is on the way (Konami’s Project Fog as it is known by now)... Let’s hope it is a new SH or at least a remake of the first one and not a pachinko crap.
@@soliris06 And also i would like to know that this new SH is developing by JAPANESE developers and not AMERICAN, because if americans are the developers, we were getting the same garbage as Homecoming,Shaterred Memories and Downpour
@Resterminador Absolutely a japanese team and the return of Yamaoka on the soundtrack would be amazing... I saw recent YT videos saying Kojima could be involved in the project but it is just a rumor for now. Wait and see.
The back alley behind the mall in SH3. I hate how briefly it's in the game. Not to mention it's like the deep breath before diving headfirst into the creepiness.
@@awepizza wow, that was awesome too mate, i salute Akira's hard work for making those song enjoyable, not only that, he's also added another elements for make players feel peace, loneliness, depressed, and fear at the same time
This track mixes all these emotions very well, but in the end, at least after 5 minutes or 10 listening to it, my nerves are very calm, that is, they are in peace 😌
I'm listening to this on headphones, while I play Columns on my trusty PS2 lol. I've had an awful day, and this is just taking all my stress and anxiety away I always have a hard time leaving Heaven's Night in the game, cuz of this serene, and soothing music.
Amber Meyer es increible este theme lo q representa especialmente el seg 30 cuando empieza esa parte se siente como una sensacion de nostalgia... pero a la vez melancolica... como q si quisieramos escpaar de algo q es inevitable. Abrazoy besos lindura.
That's kind of genius when I think about it, considering Heaven's Night is associated with Maria, who's supposed to be tempting James to stick around her in order to get her ending. Silent Hill 2's architecture of design is truly wonderful.
I played this game for the first time in 2016 around this time too. I played the first game back in 1999 when it came out and never really played Silent Hill games afterwards. Playing it was like a massive time machine. To play so many modern games in HD in 2016 then to go back to this was just... awesome. Games need more environment and atmosphere, not graphics and hollywood-esque dialogue. It just needs a good heart.
I finished Silent Hill on PS1 only a few weeks ago and I've just started playing Silent Hill 2. I know I'm like 20 years late but it was well worth it 😊
This song literally gets me high. I feel melanchonically peaceful. And like most of these Silent Hill soundtracks, this one has that weird familiar feeling in it, it feels like a distant but a vivid memory of something. Ugh, I love Akiras music. He is my number one favourite hands down.
The best horror game ever made. No modern game can even reach this epic masterpiece... hats off.... team silent.... feeling lucky for having born in this generation and knowing silent hill...
When I was just a kid I had an old CRT tv in my bedroom that my PS2 was hooked up to and I remember falling asleep to this once and a few other silent hill 2 and 3 songs.
Sometimes i drive around in my car with no music on and for some reasons this theme comes creeping in the Back of my mind and i start feeling nostalgic. Silent Hill 1&2 had such an impact on what i thought was a good video games Back in the early 2000's.
OneSaile hola amigo! Lo q puse es algo bueno y no malo. Es un theme hermoso q me hace reflexionar... lo q pasa en la cabeza de james. Y otras preguntas mas sobre este juego espero q me llegue tu notificacion cosa q no me llego pero la encontre raro,
This is useful information to me cuz I'm actually on the hunt to find all of the samples for White Noiz and Heaven's Night, already made White Noiz and even found the drums for Heaven's night, as well as the "Daybreak" pad that both songs use. Still hunting for more.
Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2 will always be my favourite games they're sentimental to me I can still remember playing the first game in 1999, and in my opinion nothing comes close to them in terms of atmosphere.
I remember when I finally got here. I seriously sat around listening for at least two hours. My only regret is not creating a new save file so I could return to this place.
I can quite literally listen to this extended play all day. Usually at work it is on repeat while i work. I sometimes imagine myself at home just relaxing with this in the background.
The name of this song always interested me, just sort of how it might have a double meaning. It sounds like it could be the name of a club branded around an experience, in this case "a night in heaven" But in the context of it being in Silent Hill, it's more like "night has fallen on heaven," leaving everything in darkness and despair. The song sort of makes me think about how the empty club might contain some distant feeling of euphoria you might get from a blissful night out partying. But with the minor keys played over the slow, steady drum beat, it musically demonstrates how over time the empty thrills you chased never gave you anything to hold dear. Now that the things James truly did hold dear are gone, the only feeling Heaven's Night is good for is an indirect reminder of how things used to be, soaked in regret.
I think it's more like he wanted a heavenly night with a bad girl version of his wife, aka Maria. The do what you want type. He's got blue b:s but he's still too loyal.
I'm playing the enhanced edition now. I'm nearly done with the game and I'm glad I finally got to play this masterpiece. The atmosphere and soundtrack are perfect.
this game was way ahead of its time. i really hope someday the videogame industry goes back to making artistic bangers like this game instead of garbage that's just a cash grab with paywalls and microtransactions.
Honestly this one is better imo, it feels like it’s playing while I’m traversing through a long, dark, narrow tunnel. Mysterious, eagerly awaiting to reach the other side and see what wonders lie beyond it
This place must be a reflection of the strip clubs James went to in real life to escape the misery with his wife. Have a drink, a lot of drinks, and get distracted by the dancers for a few hours. That's how I interpret it now, as an adult.
@@paulcary563 Thanks :p Well, we all know Maria is a sexy version of Mary that spawned because of his sexual frustration. I mean, Mary was in no mood to do the deed with her being all disfigured. The second thing was, there is a place in the game with a bunch of empty beer or liquor bottles (maybe the pizzeria) and when you look at them, James mentions he drank too much. I just put two and two together, seeing he's a young adult male going through too much heartbreak.
Wow, this, along with only other SH songs, is one of the few 1 hour loop that I can listen to over and over and barely realise how quick time passes when I hear them. It's great! Thank you so much for doing these.
I don't know if anyone is still around, but this music feels so familiar, different, yet so close. It's like I'm dead but stuck on the start screen of any melancholy game. (lol why) But I am far from everything and my soul is very light. The game is abandoned and I am walkin around freely. I'm far away from the thoughts, the pain in my body and soul... And this melancholy makes me feel peaceful. It's like something so familiar and it's floating deep in my soul
@@ScoutJoe Hmm, i dunno. It kinda sounds a bit like "elevator-music" to me. Maybe you could sample it to make a mallsoft/vaporwave song. Not much more than that
Abrazo
I hope the remake makes the Heaven's Night section longer, with some dialogue between James and Maria, to make it an actual memorable moment. In the original you kind of walk the entire place in like 20 seconds and that's it.
I imagine unusual things with surreal, atmospheric music like this, such as zombies and monsters playing the instruments/drums in this piece and the horrific grotesque monsters just twitching along to the music and swaying in an abandoned nightclub that once had humans in it.
Rando this comment is dumb as hell. 90% or more people that are listening to this song is because of nostalgia. I’ve been around since the ps1 days lol, beat it kid.
Welcometobangkok what are you even talking about? i just said that in general video ost isn’t as good as it used to be. idc how you discovered the video, and even if that was the case, i’m sure 9/10 most people just searched for this or they were listening to music similar to this. just watch the video and keep it pushing.
