In Silent Hill series...Every main character is finding something SH 1: His Daughter SH 2: His Wife SH 3: Her true self SH 4: finding a way to get out of his room Silent hill forever
As of 2011, both Guy Cihi and Donna Burke remain in Tokyo; he is the CEO and founder of Shibuya-based Lexxica, a word engine designed to help people learning Japanese via courses to practice the vocabulary, and Donna Burke is the founder of Dagmusic, a Roppongi-based sound production company and booking agency, and Hoteeze, internationally-sold heat pad products. yeah that's why he sued Konami because they released this without telling him. He was entitled to the money from this documentary of ''the making of silent hill'' and konami didn't want to pay him.
@Phantomx16 what's happening?? are there new people making the games now, have konami sold their contract or something? im a masive fan of silent hill, although i haven't played since silent hill 3 so I have no idea what's going on...
America only made Silent Hill: Homecoming. Don't say "oohh Americans ruined Silent Hill" when there was only one game :/ chillax and get your facts straight.
Cihi eventually sent e-mails to the Silent Hill community, speaking about his role (don't remember where though). He's not an actor. He's simply a businessman working in Japan. They were conducting auditions for Silent Hill 2 and Cihi went in with his daughter (she wanted to audition for Laura) and they convinced him to try for James. He said he had a blast playing James And a photo on his company's website shows that he looks a lot like James.
@regina5666 From what I remember, the guy who played James was just some businessman off the street or something, and he wanted to remain mostly anonymous or something.
I think he meant he just wanted to portray the character as realistic as possible. I like the fact that besides the symbolism, that Silent Hill Japan added those little details that brought these characters to life. and lol at the flirty faces that guy makes.
yes, that is precisely a metaphoric way of expressing she killed herself...the stairs of fire are a symbolism..they never really existed...it you examine angela's knife frequently amongst other things youll get the ending where james kills himself...her suicidal tendencies were transmitted via the knife..
if this team worked on a new silent hill for this generation, it would be incredible. they've always been super ambitious and now might be the time where the technology can really meet their demands.
David Schaufele is a live-audio techincian and oprator who also resides in Tokyo, and actually continues to keep in contact with Guy. Monica Horgan relocated to Hawaii a short time after the prodcution of SH2 wrapped up, and she currently runs the NamiMori House at Hanalei Bay in Hawaii and is the director of Raku International based in the greater Los Angeles area. Jakey Breckenridge's information is unkown.
@Naroon201 Guy Cihi wasnt included because they didnt even tell him they where making a "behind the scenes" he said that in his own personal interview thegamingliberty. com website. Konami just doesnt like to involve people who weren't "oficially" working with the company.
He is probably just nervous. Many people feel uncomfortable about having a camera shoved into their faces, especially while presenting their work at the same time. I know people who repeat a lot more than he does, I admit it's annoying, but noone's perfect right?
"You must be thinking five... hmmm.... that's funny. There are six characters. That's easy to explain." Oh, so they're going to mention James finally. We get to see what his VO/Mocap actor is like. "The same person played Maria, and Mary." What the fuck.
In Japanese there is a word, "ne", that is really similar to saying "you know", or "don't you think". It's a normal way to punctuate sentences, and it's very common. So that's why they seem to say "you know" so frequently when they speak English. =/
@amanochou according to the voice-actor himself in a recent interview, they didn't conceal his face for this reason. In fact,he expressed disappointment because he didn't ask to be blurred out and wanted to be credited.
@RebekaTarpey because they wanted to avoid paying residual compensation for his performance and they never told him they were doing a making of video either the way he found out about the making of video was because of a fan
Wow. This totally made my day XD "I try to act sexy in front of mirror" Not that I'm dissing on him, I'm very glad he did that. But it was just funny to hear. I liked his impersonation of a 'bad photograph' too. Haha..
Ahaha aw don't make fun of Sato, Japanese and English are really different, I was surprised he knows it. He was probably thinking at like 5000 mph in order to translate his Japanese into English while being interviewed
lol Don't bash at him for sayin "you know" a lot, most people have a word or sentence they tend to repeat. Me for instance, have a thing for starting senteces with "well". What is he saying about Angelas mouth?
Well the polygons don't show it... but its mostly texture based. If she was as skinny as models would be then the shadowing in and around her belly and bellybutton would have been erased for a more flat look.
Naroon201 Guy Cihi (player of James) was not just some guy off the street. He was trained in acting just happened to be there because his daughter was trying out for Laura. I have him on my facebook by the way, too. His face was censored in the HD remake because Konami didn't want to pay him or give him any credit for his work
I Went down to my basement and took down my tv and plugged in my PS1 so me and my girlfiriend will play silent hill 2 all night long :) this game brings back memories in the good old days =)
@nittoga1 he complained about it in a recent interview. He said they concealed his face and identity in this making of for no reason, and there's also the whole redubbing thing for the HD collections...
I like the real Maria! ;-) Who knows what happened with team Silent maybe they burned out on the subject for now, maybe they'll come back Silent Hill rules SH1, SH2, SH3, SHO
Yeah; learning new languages is hard, French is what I am trying to learn XD You seem pretty good at it though, the only flaw is a little to many '...'s ^^
Are you sure you downloaded the complete soundtrack or did you download the Original? In any case, I'll send you a personal message that has the website I know of.
everyone its making fun of this guy because he dont speak english good, well then you must try to speak japanese and maybe a japanese guy make fun of you.
