People have asked me to make something to explain all this stuff for literally years. So, I did. Patreon - / punchystream Twitch - / punchy Twitter - / succinct_punchy Discord - / discord
Right at the start of the video, just the way you say "Hellllo everyone" is really comfy for some reason. Makes for easy listening, even when I have no access to this game nor much drive (or time) to learn how to speedrun. Just chill stuff to listen to and see how a game is broken down.
Thanks! I made this video as kind of something between a Tutorial and just "let me show you some cool stuff" so you don't need to be interested in specifically running the game to enjoy it, I hope. it's neat to learn about the tricks even if you're not gonna run the game, I watch glitch tutorials for games I am never ever going to touch in my life because I just think it's interesting, so I made my own version of that.
Thanks for highligting the advanced techinques! It really helps to show how much there is to learn and optimize and understand about a game and how much effort speedrunners put into learning about the games. :D
"This is what you really came here for" joke's on you, I came here because I love your stuff and I could watch you do a sandwich tutorial and it'd be cool. Very nice video, Punchy!
i have actually made a few videos about the other silent hill games in the past on my vod channel (before it was the vod channel) but they're old, out of date and a bit fractured across tricks so yeah I'll pin this in my brain as something to maybe work on for a future vid
I was there for many streams where that damned dog ruined a perfectly good Alessa skip haha. Really awesome to see all the tricks put in one video. Hope this video gets the attention it deserves!
The shadow on the left side of your forhead makes it look like you got a pretty shiner Also, is it possible to beat the game from the dream sequence or do you need the seal to continue?
6:56 "first step into the world of silent hill nonsense" I'd call the story the first step into silent hill nonsense... Still excellent and interesting video nonetheless
Hey, I've recently played Silent Hill 3 on the PS2 again, and man... Am I tripping or is it actually possible to read the map in the dark? Unfortunately, that's a big minus for me, because this and the first one are my absolutely favorite titles in the Silent Hill series.
