I'm sure someone mentioned this already - but the Queen Mary really did slice her destroyer escort while they were zigzagging. That's probably intentional in this game.

Queen Mary actually rammed and split HMS Curacoa in two in October 1942, but that happened north of Ireland, not south like in this game.

The Collision is a reference to the HMS Curacoa which was rammed by the Queen Mary and sank. Even though the Curacoa wasn't a Dido-class Cruiser, it was converted into an AA escort role.

6:32 love the historical accuracy of this game. They even featured the tragic _HMS Curacoa_ sinking from _Queen Mary_ ! It would have been nice to see _Queen Mary_ as the Grey Ghost in this game, but I won't complain.

That collision happened in real life when the Queen Mary ran over and sank one of her escorts, the HMS Curacoa. They say the bow is haunted because of this.

Look at 0:40 at the bottom left It looks like the Mary is about to hit a ship. Maybe it was supposed to ram it? Also I heard that the collision with HMS Curacoa happened in October of 1942 which is the date of the mission.

When the Ship Rammed the Ship. It was an 'Accident' that happened, they may have lost the Brakes or they accidentally throttled to max and crashed to HMS Curacoa.

That ship Queen Mary crashed into there most likely would’ve been the HMS Curacoa. The game mostly programmed that to happen given that that collision is something that happened in real life. Only thing the game got wrong was the Curacoa going down in one piece where in real life, the Queen Mary’s bow split the Curacoa in half like an axe.

I think they might have intentionally included the sinking of HMS Curacoa in the game. Queen Mary cut the escorting cruiser in two in October 1942 and carried straight on, following orders not to open herself to U-boat attack by stopping to pick up survivors. 337 of Curacoa's crew died. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Curacoa_(D41)#Collision

I tried to get this on steam, how did you get this to run? I've seen a lot of bad comments regarding this on steam. Any help would be great. I also have an intense love of Titanic and love your reviews of the games out there, some of which I had no idea even existed. I’ve used an earlier version of the game. You have to go to settings to tell it to automatically compute the lead necessary for the torpedoes to strike the target. He didn’t have that setting on, so it assumed he was already running the calculations. Whoops! That’s why he kept missing so far behind it.

Isn’t there a tutorial? You really need to go to torpedo school!!🤣 distance and angle are key to hitting a moving target. Love Your videos though, so maybe you shouldn’t learn how to fire torpedoes!! 😉

You know, Spammals, I'm no submariner, but if I'm reading your briefing map correctly, you're supposed to _approach_ quite a way before you're actually in position. Also, just because your periscope is pointed in a certain direction, that doesn't necessarily mean your torpedo tubes are pointed exactly that way. It's good to aim ahead of a moving target, but if your tubes are actually pointed further left, that kind of cancels things out.
