Looks like that challenging and dangerous grove of overgrowth is the results of either a fire or logging. From here it appears nearly every tree is twisted or leaning hard.
That's how those trees grow naturally (leaning/twisting). You're right that it was probably cleared and then those smaller Madrone all came up..Madrone seems to like disturbed / sunny areas for sprouts.
@@jeffschroeder9089 looks longer! I just picked up a T540 mk3 … even stock I’m considering throwing an 18 on it. Here where I work in upstate New York I could get most of my crane work done with an 18 inch on a top handle and then when I need to switch to a full-size saw, it’s not very typical for us to run anything longer than 24 on a 562 … once in a great while we might break out the 395 for a stump cut … but it’s rare. The whole husky/stihl thing to me seems to be a matter of location. We don’t have a good stihl dealer local so I run Huskies … To be honest with you, I’ve got a Stihl 194 ported, base gasket delete, timing advance, and muffler mod running a 16 inch and I find myself reaching for that over anything lately. It’s so compact and lightweigh … It’s definitely a dog out of the box … but with a little work, it’s really my go to over the husky which is close to 10 cc’s larger … I don’t think the 194 gets the credit it deserves … you’ve gotta do some work to them out of the box for sure … once it came back from the builder it’s what I find myself reaching for every morning … I’ve got more into it aftermarket than I paid for it by far … but I would put it up against the stock 201 any day … same bar and chain … a guy at work runs at 201 and as soon as we get the time we’re gonna put them head to head same bar and chain and see what the times are … I tend to reach for what I’m comfortable with but it would be so nice to throw an 18 on that husky Mark three and only have to pack two saws … that 261 you have has got me considering building one of those … you’ve got a great 200 T collection. I don’t like the 201 and I can’t seem to find a 200 in nice enough shape for the price people are asking for them … STAY SAFE !
