The greatest snare sound ever

This is coming from a symphonic deathcore/metal/worship drummer of twenty plus years the sheer amount of precision and fluidity that Alex show cases is absolutely immeasurable this takes years of dedication blood sweat and tears of confidence patience and drive when I left metal I had blood stains on my kit this guy is the real deal so underrated gospel chops in a musical metal prospective.

Love how he makes most of this seem so easy.. like it’s the easiest most laid back track ever... try playing this!! It’s no cake walk😓 Alex has become my source of inspiration when I play. Keep the pocket and get creative without killing the double bass.. no need!! Such a beast!!

When Howard benson was recording Saosins self titled record. He talked about Their drummer Alex Lopez being “appropriately busy” meaning so exciting to watch but not taking away from the song with excessive parts. This guy is the epitome of that. Writes totally creative parts that add so much to the music.

I could watch/listen to this man all freaking day.

Really neat how it starts in 7 with the synths then when everyone comes in it’s two 7s plus a 2 to turn it around (16) and make it fit into 4/4. Camarena really highlights the feel well while being complex yet accessible 🤘🏽
