I love this! I love your videos! I got a cutting machine, I have a small child so I have no time for mining information from all the videos with useless chit-chat and lenghty talks about how to do stuff without showing all the steps clearly etc. I accidently found one of your videos, enjoyed it so I looked up felt cutting as I want to cut felt mostly. I'm so glad you have this up as well! I love you! Clear instructions, I can even watch without sound as there are subs, you show what I have to see etc. Perfect! I'm over the moon now it will be so much easier to get started. Everything needed is included but there is no time wasting etc.
This video is awesome. I'm seriously considering buying a Cameo 4 just to cut felt. I love using cheap felt to make stuffed ornaments and toys. You have convinced me to buy one. I will be able to make so many other cool things, too. I can't wait!
I heard you can iron on freezer paper to the felt. Then you can put it paper to mat and when you finish cutting, the freezer paper can be peeled off your cut job. And you mat will be fuzz free.
@@AvantiMorocha1 your video makes me want to get the this cameo. I already have a silhouette (but it’s older). To cut felt would be a game changer. Thank you for your time and efforts to put this video up! 😊
Thanks for the video! 👍You made the same one with Cricut, and it looks like the Cameo 4 does a much better job. What are your thoughts regarding two machines? Which one would you recommend?
Hi, if you have never use a cutting machine or a Design Software definitely Cricut since is it’s way more user friendly, however if that is not the case you may prefer Cameo.
Which type of felt would you reccomend to make car air fresheners? I have bought some felt from amazon, and they are these 3x4inches and 0.3cm ( thickness ) in rectangular shaped felt. However, my cameo 4 is unable to cut through the felt
@@AvantiMorocha1 yes i have the blanks on amazon, but i would like to make my own custom shapes too. I could not get my silhoutte to cut the felt blanks i bought from amazon as they are slightly thicker than the ones i've seen in your video ( 0.3cm) The felt that you used in your video, are they suitable for making car air fresheners?
There is 100 percent rayon felt. Alpaca can be felted. Polyester is a different polymer from acrylic, with different melting points, for example. A water soluble stabilizer on the mat-facing side should minimize undesired sticking.
Could I use the rotary blade to cut 1.5mm holes in felt. I want to create holes around the edges of felt for blanket stitching to make stuff animals from felt.
Amazing video! Thank you. Just one question: how many cutting works would you say a tack mat would last? After how many cut does it last it "stickyness"?
Hello:) I stumbled onto Universal cutting mats. They are a lot cheaper than the regular mats, and are very sticky! I think they hold their tack longer than the Silhouette mats. I live in Australia and don't know if they are elsewhere, but if they are, I would recommend you try them:) These mats would be perfect for felt!
You can agently wash/scrub the cutting mats with a mild solution of dish detergent and water. Then air dry them and reuse! The CRICUT mats last longer than others.
Hola! Me han servido mucho tus videos! Estoy intentando cortar fieltro, pero cada vez que selecciono el material (felt) cuando estoy en Send, se cierra el programa por completo. Ya bajé de nuevo el software pero sigue pasando lo mismo
Hi, you should have a mat exclusive to use for felt, you’ll only clean it when nothing stick to it anymore. You can use dish soap to clean it. This will add more life to your mat but eventually you need to change it. A lot of people use contact paper to avoid the residues left by the felt.
