Thank you so much my beautiful friend 🥰 I love my ES mat 🥰 I have learnt and am still learning so much from you. Thank you so much for everything that you do for us. You are dearly loved and appreciated 🥰❤️😘🤗❤️
@@katewelsh1285 here are more tips for the ES bed.... silhouette-secrets.com/silhouette-electrostatic-es-bed/ Keep in mind that tips for the ES bed will work for all compatible models, for instance, the tips I give for the Curio 2 would still work on a Cameo 5 ES bed. The only difference is the Cameo 5 and Portrait 2 get loaded in the machine and roll through versus the Curio 2 is a flat bed. But the ES bed concept is the same.
I don't recommend resticking for many reasons. We see way too many issues caused by that. Getting a good system down for using an adhesive mat is always a good ideas. Some projects will still need it. But, the Electrostatic bed is pretty neat. It does take time and testing to learn.
@@SilhouetteSecrets what kind of issues? I’ve been using a Sil SD & now a Cameo 4 since 2011. Not sure what issues unless someone didn’t tape off the roller path. Most problem seems how even the repositioning is applied & I’m not good at that because I don’t want it on too thick.
@@Elizabeth-rq1vi we've seen a lot of things.... - adhesive residue on the rollers - print and cut no longer works because the optical eye is covered by adhesive residue, debris, and fibers - bugs stuck to the machine (like real bugs) - bottom roller is gunked up and doesn't move any longer - grinding in the machine - mats won't load properly We see a lot of things when troubleshooting with users.
@@SilhouetteSecrets some people are just more talented than I to get adhesives everywhere but just the mat! It shouldn’t surprise me that someone would get the machine all gunned up. Especially to the point the machine grinds!! Inquiring minds are curious how they did that…so I don’t do it!)
I didn't open mine - there is no need to unless they are interfering with thicker materials... which wouldn't work on the ES bed. The middle guides are spring guides and they only need to be opened when using the Auto Sheet Feeder. I've used my ES bed with them closed or how they arrived in the box for the past 5-6 months with no issues.
How would this electronic Matt work with the 5 plus,it says on there discrimination it work with both models but that leaves about 3 ich off the original 5plus with this 12" matt
I need help. My electrostatic mat every paper goes left and right and gets tangled. As if the ESMat doesn’t have enough strength to “stick” foil, paper. It seems that the ESMat does not have the strength to stick the paper. What could be the problem?
The ES bed should hold the charge with most papers. Test with copy paper. Is the bed connected properly? Are you building up the charge prior to cutting? Is the bed staying on when cutting? Are the cut settings too high for the material? Copy paper is a great test.
@aleksandrasimonovic8714 it may not hold a charge with that material. If it holds copy paper, it works. It just may not work with all materials. If it can not build and maintain a charge, it won't work.
