This was PERFECT! My cuts were always "off" but gradually got WAY worse as the you went farther down each page from a Print & Cut Project. I could reach through this screen and give you a great big hug! I was designing new things and all of my artwork to accommodate for the "miss-cutting" that the Cameo was doing. All of the tips were to check the calibration but to leave the "distance adjustment" alone. NOPE DO BOTH TESTS to be sure. Fixed it immediately. WONDERFUL. Thank you!

Thank you for making, demonstrating, explaining, and posting this video well and thoroughly explained. If you ever get time, could you please do a video on how to print a card on silhouette using laser printer bypass tray. For the life of me registration marks don't come out like the design on silhouette. If there is anyone out there with the same problem and was able to solve it please let me know. Ugh, just been having a nightmare of a time with my Cameo 3. This video helped a lot (as well as another that mentioned the autoblade needs to click TWICE to be in place), but unfortunately, it seems like my settings for distance adjustment are NOT being saved. Huge bummer and I can't figure out why.

Ken, do you think it is better to do one cross at a time, then adjust the calibration scale. Like , do calibration cut on the left, make the adjustment then test it on the right cross. So you can test your modified adjustment if you got the right adjustment? This way, you do not need to print another sheet to test if your adjustment worked fine.

HI Ken, I thought since my print and cuts always 1/32(enough for it to be quite prominent). I thought my machine might have been out of calibration so I followed along with you and calibrated my machine and it's cutting right on the very right side edge of the vertical blackline & right on the very bottom of the horizontal black line. There's like a split hair amount of ink on the right sides & undersides of the cuts on the calibration crosshairs. Any clue as to why my cuts are off that much seeing as how my blade seems to be cutting just fine on the crosshairs? Thank you in advance for your time.

Peeerfect, thank you so much for this video. Quick question, I'm from UK so our paper is closer 8.3x11.5 but I also use cardstock that's 8.5x11. Do I need to calibrate every time I use a different sized material with the cameo or will it be able to adjust depending on the settings on the software when I send to the machine now that it's successfully calibrated? Any help would be appreciated, thank you! ♥

great vid, but when i calibrate the distance, it seems to be a good 200mm but the alignment id off, to the right hand side its down af ew mils, and on the (1&2) its also the right distance apart but shifted over and unevenly, is there a way to fix this. thanks again for the info.

So i tried the calibration and all the calibration cuts were soot in And last night i did some print and cut 8 1/2x11 temporary tattoos and it was perfect Today i go to cut 8 1/2x11 sticker paper First it wont read the registration marks Then it fainally read but cut in the wrong place So i rebooted everything Restarted the machines and started a brand ne project with stock graphics It registered fine but again the cut was not aligned around the stickers Re-ran calibration for cut and distance and they are perfect I have no idea

My husband bought me a used Cameo 2 that had not been used but a few times and I started using it in February 2018 it has been doing great until this week its now cutting off of the lines for print and cut. I have calibrated it and that shows ok then when I try and project it is off. I measured it tonight it's off .7 cm on the right and .5 on the left sides. The top to bottom 1 - 2 are ok. Please help we are doing several fundraisers for my husband eSight glasses and I have been making items for prizes and to sell to help purchase them. This is really needed to help him.

Hi Ken. I just unboxed my Cameo 2 and am trying to calibrate it. It's not cutting correctly through the Print and Cut feature. Once I get the mat loaded I'm trying to use the arrow keys to align the crosses but it's not moving the mat. Am I doing something wrong here?

my silhouette prints perfect on the crosses & the distance but i still cant get it to cut right on am image. ive done both of these & it still cuts through the image. is there anything else i can do

Whenever I try to do the distance adjustment test, the cameo does not recognize the registration marks. Whenever it cut the black crosses for the calibration test, the cut lines were always too long. Whenever I print, The lines always cut into the shape severely on the horizontal range and are sometimes 1 cm above in the vertical range. I line up the map with the arrows on the machine. load it, but even a simple flag or box the machine will not cut correct. I have no idea what is going on. It is a relatively new machine that I've had problems with since I bought it. I have never had a single good cut, even on a box. Not sure what is going on here when I cannot even do a distance alignment test -- do you have any suggestions? The blade is locked in and the bar is lowered to where it should be lowered.

I figured out a workaround for the Cameo cutting off the image. I set my registration marks for a Curio instead (even though I'm using a Cameo). It is cutting PERFECTLY! Hope this works for those of you still having problems.

So my problem is that the Pixscan mat goes out the back too far and spins off rollers. I have calibrated as your total video suggest. All was spot on. Cameo 3.

I can't get mine to line up or cut the lines. It just clicks, moves across the page and then it is done. Also, for the distance test, it doesn't give me the ruler options. HELP! My first letter usually doesn't cut all the way, the next few cut and the last ones just get an outline, but not cut. What do I need to do? I have replaced the blades.

mine only cuts the top of pages correctly and gets more offline as it goes down. When I did the calibration the top half was fine, and the bottom calibrations were off. But, they cut the horizontal lines in a 45° angle almost.... it's so weird

Ken, this is a great video for the Cameo 2 and the software that goes to it, however, I just got a Cameo 3 and could not use the arrows to align the blade to the test page, they do not work. They are still working on the software I did not update with the new firmware. I called support at Silhouette America and was told that the calibration is not for the cut and print. How can that be and how can I get someone to help me be able to make my cuts without going outside the object I am cutting, sometimes on one side and then sometimes on the other???

If you are doing a print then cut the calibration used is the crosses.

Hi, does anyone have issues printing for the print and cut? For some reason what's good on screen gets to the printer distorted in areas (usually in like straight lines cut like). I thought it was the printer but after aligning 100 times (lol) and printing from silhouette something twice, i noticed the errors are in the same place! so its being sent with the problem to the printer from silhouette studios. Any ideas?
