Silhouette Registration Mark Sensor Error FIX! 

Another 5 minutes and that machine would have been in my driveway in pieces. Thanks so much for saving it. And me.

When I manually align and then select "register", my machine just pushes the mat back out

OMG … You are a Silhouette Saver !!! I was ready to round-file this machine, then, head to Michael's to purchase a Cricut (and I HATE Cricut!!!). THANK YOU, for this tutorial, and my hubby thanks you too, for saving him the expense of a Cricut. Happy in CA

I'm honestly crying right now, but this time out of happy tears instead of frustrating/hopeless tears. You saved my shops butt majorly. I can't thank you enough!

I just can't express my gratitude enough! I have been sitting here contemplating hand cutting these out. 100 of them. Now I have to figure out how to get the cuts perfect because even the calibration isn't working.

Thank you for the video! I have an older model cameo but never was able to figure out how to use the manual setting for the registration marks. After 5 minutes of struggles I gave up and looked for youtube videos. After watching your video, I was cutting my stickers less than a minute later! and they are perfect! Thanks again!

thanks .i was struggling the whole day and i have order that needs to be finished today, i did the same projects cameo didnt complain about registration marks . my customer saw the design and like it so when i have to finish it cameo shows me those errors. thank you for saving my time

FINALLY - After 10 sheets of Sticker Paper NOT getting the registration marks to read in my Portrait - and after viewing numerous You Tube Videos on how to cut stickers-, etc. I tried your suggestion and it worked - however, I have to admit--- I also used a Black Sharpie to darken all of the registration marks as well [another technique I learned] - Happy Dance Day for me! I can finally fix the problem when I get a no cut due to failed registration marks and here comes the stickers! [and yes, I always get a failed registration mark error, but I do not care as long as I can still get my stickers to print] I do think Silhouette should do a FIX on this since SOOOOOOO many people are having the problem. Just saying --- Anywhoo, Thank you so much for this video - this is the FIRST video I have viewed showing this technique - most videos are "No Fail Print and cut stickers" videos showing changes in cut settings [at least the ones I have viewed]-- This technique, however, worked for me on my Portrait! Thanks so much!!!! I have stickers!!! yeah!

Thank you! You are the first person who has mentioned to try this. However, when I do the manual adjustment, my cameo doesn't move, and the software now says it is 'cutting'. Then after a few seconds, the registration failed message appears again. So frustrating because I've managed to get it to work before! But seriously, thank you!

this worked with my silhouette cameo 2 in studio 4.4. Make sure you close the front door on the machine! That was my entire problem! Thanks again :))

OHHH my goodness....thank you. I still can't find the little arrows to fix the registration mark lineup but I will. I'm using a portrait and I have avoided buying print files because of the registration marks being so scary for me. I think I feel a little better now about practicing the print and cut. Just didn't want to waste all of that ink to just throw in the garbage!

You just saved my sanity. I was trying to use the arrows to move the registration mark under the sensor, but bless my heart I didn't think the sensor was the blade. oops. Thanks to you I got it right away.

Brilliant!~ Thank you so much! I wish you worked at Silhouette!! I have had this issue for over a year now. I upgraded to Designer Edition software -- same problem. It makes you wonder if the software designers at Silhouette are totally incompetent, asleep at the switch, or too busy hustling to bring out "new" machines -- neither of which appears to have set the world alight. Instead of wasting time making little cosmetic improvements on new machines, how about fixing the glaring registration issue on existing machines which is affecting so many of us. How many complaints to Silhouette does it take?

That didn't work for my silhouette cameo. I changed paper material type from sticker paper to washi sheet and it worked perfect!

Thank you! I'm new to this cutting thing. lol I've been trying to figure out why it wouldn't cut anything. Turns out I actually needed to print the registration marks on my cardstock before I tried to cut. I'm also trying to cut out a stencil to use on t-shirts, but I can't figure that one out.

I have done all of your tips, but my pixscan mat goes to the bottom and falls out of the back of machine on Cameo 3. Any ideas?

mine won't cut at all now without doing this, I had no problems before. It is going to annoy me if I have to keep doing that every time. I have just started making my own planner stickers and some layouts and this is going to annoy me :( Thank you so much for posting this video :D
