Oh my word!! You just saved my life! Thank you so much. I needed to print and cut on clear plastic but didn't know how the machine was going to see the registration marks. White sticker paper!! Brilliant! Thank you, thank you!

I've seen tons of "fixes" for things like this. They all take too much time. My solution has been working for years. Take a clearish piece of tape and put it over the registration marks. I say "clearish" because the tape that works for me isn't crystal clear. It's has a white color to it. What it does, is mute the shine and lets the black marks to show through. I use this method on metallic and paper that is too glossy. Some tape I have used doesn't work ( I don't know why) but I found a brand on Amazon that works every time. It must be the perfect opaqueness and thickness. I can send a link to the tape if you like.

I just got my Cameo 3 for Christmas and I was super excited!! I’m ready to pull my hair out!! I’ve learned a lot of little things but can not for the life of me get the registration marks to read! I’ve designed a iron on transfer and I’ve tried sending to a million times and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong! I’ve spent hours on the chat with Silhouette America helping me and still have gotten nowhere . My husband even went and bought me a brand new laptop to use with my Cameo that he got me. I’m so lost!!!!

Best solution! 100% Gauranteed!!! If the paper is laying bent over, the registration will read a distortion, so you need to lift the paper so that the registration can read the square box accurately. Try it, thank me later.

I bought the silhouette business program and while trying to figure things out. I happened to change a setting I tried everything and could not print registration failure. I figured it out. Go into Page setup. Size change setting to current printer this fixed my issues.

Thank you, but still did not solve solution. Downloaded the Jingles all the Way and since then it has messed up my portrait. Left a white background I can not get rid of and now my cutter say registration marks can not read. Help!

I can afford the removable sticker paper, but the silver or gold sticker paper is really expensive . Did you get a good deal somehow during black friday or something? Love your informative videos and tutorials, am learning so much from them .! Thank you!

Hi Melissa, I seem to have a problem when cutting cut files. One side cuts thinner than the other, to me its as if the the thickness is wrong but like i say in different parts of the cut file. Do you have a video for this

Please help very often I print and cut . the machine reads the registration , but the cut is inaccurate sometimes way off on my design sometimes wasting 3 sheets before I can get. A good one. Thanks

did you press sub paper with a printed image onto the sticker paper to transfer the image? Or did you print it out directly from your printer wit sublimation ink? Or was it just normal printer ink you used?

This was just regular sticker paper put into an ink jet printer.

Question. Using the Cameo 3. Using regular vinyl with the registration mark set to off it cuts, When the registration marks are turned on the machine docent cut but says job done, and the studio sows the cutting in progress bar moving. So, why does it cut with the registration mark is set to no. Thanks

I have done the manual adjustment for the registration marks and it has worked before . . . Until today. I am doing a print and cut and cut two other sheets (different colors) and then when I went to the third one - wouldn’t cut. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks. An easier fix is to place the sticker sheet about a half an inch further down on the cutting mat. Then the Cameo finds the registration marks where it expects them to be. Worked for me!

You can put some of the not clear scotch tape over the registration marks and it won't shine back. Works for me.

A Fields go to online labels! They seem to be the best and they have a bit that has all cutting setting for machines for the different types of paper xx

what would you suggest for pixscan mat going out the back of cameo 3 when reading registration marks? I have calibrated and followed 29 different RU-vid trouble shooting video's?

I would try to update the firmware and the software. That was a bug in an older version of the software so updating should help.

Turn off the registration marks. There are a couple of decent videos that show you how. It was the only thing that kept me from tossing the machine in the trash.

Can I use extra paper to print the registration marks on and then the actual print that I want(on a4) in the middle. So I fill 12x12 with dummy paper for registration marksand sticker paper a4 in the middle. Have anyone done this? The cut keeps missing :(

Have you found a resolution to this problem? I have been trying to use my PixScan mat for the last couple of days but NOTHING I have tried after Googling my butt off has helped. My Cameo 3 will NOT register the PixScan mat no matter what I do. This is very frustrating.

I still can't get mine to read the marks. I've tried on reg printer paper, cardstock, and printable vinyl sticker paper. All give me the registration failed message. Any other tips I can try?

Mine keeps reading “ registration failed” and it spits sticker paper back out. I’m wondering if I should return it because these seems crazy to have to go through so much and can’t get the product to do what I bought it for. I printed to sticker paper, white, and stickers don’t look to be in the threshold so why won’t it cut?
