Unboxing and first impressions of the official Samsung Silicone Case for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It's growing on me, I'll say that.
Quick heads-up that I have "working" hands in this video, I had to get a bunch of yard work done on my lunch break, but tried my best to cleanup before hitting the record button.

Samsung is amazing now... i actully LOVE this phone. I understand the hype. The camera, the AI. The keyboard the call assist, the ability to make it unique . 11/10 .

The silicone cases are good. I can't believe they are continuing the gadget case with the S24U. I despise that case on the S23U.

Thanks for stopping by. I'm liking it so far, it's pretty good. I've never tried that gadget case, thanks for letting me know to steer clear of it. Quick edit: Sorry, I misread and that you meant something different than the s-view case. I know what you mean, I used for like 2 weeks or so with the S23 Ultra, then ditched it. I'll probably use it for even less this time, lol. Some folks like the window and that style though, but it's a little "much" for me personally. To each their own, right? There's cases for everyone.

How's the front lip? Is it sufficiently raised to protect screen? I'm deciding between this one in lime color and the Caseology Athlex.

Do the camera lenses stay within a few millimeters of the case? Lenses don't scratch, right?

Yes, it's easier to take it off from the sides not the top or bottom if that makes sense

Hi Brian, another nice video buddy, I like the Samsung cases. I got the Spigen liquid air case in grey, it compliments the ultra well and has protection for the camera lens too, so you don't need to worry about sitting the phone down on it's back, doesn't add any bulk to the phone at all. There's another version of this case made by Samsung that is darker. You got the lighter version of the violet

Does the case soften the sharp corners of the phone? The sharp corners are one of the reasons for not getting the phone yet.

I totally get where you're coming from. Yes, it reduces the sharpness quite a bit, makes it much easier to hold with putting an indentation into your hand. It's still has "sharp" corners, but the material makes up for it, if that makes any sense.

Thanks for stopping by. It can get a little weird at times. Usually I'll just end up rebooting both devices and that for some reason makes it start working again. I know I did a video quite a while ago showing how to go back and forth, from each device, but I can't remember which one it is for the life of me. If the reboots don't help, shoot me a quick email and we can troubleshoot it further. My email is on my About page, YT will block this comment if I drop it here.

Does the case have a microfiber lining? After having Magsafe cases for my S23U, it's hard to not have it for the S24U.

What really calls my attention on this video is that along the 4:26 min, the guy NEVER said the "official color name" of the case. He only said twice "purple" , and there's no "purple' option on Samsung's web page, but "Violet" and "Dark Violet". Am I asking too much?
