Join Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile State Historic Site Supervisor Rob as he explores the history and progression of the missile silo in American history from 1959 to 2024. Topics include basing summaries for Atlas, Titan, Minuteman, and Peacekeeper intercontinental ballistic missiles, along with why such installations were built. While protecting one leg of the American nuclear deterrent force, basing and sheltering decisions would have long-lasting impacts on military strategy and politics.

My fiancé Marlee, and visited wheatland wyoming launch control facility quebec one a few months back. The Titan 2 museum down in Arizona. I had gone and visited back in the 90s. About 7 different times and this last December my fiancé, and I went together. She says it was a totally different experience then just watching a viwell worth going. We also went and seen the air museum in tucson , along with the western movie sets. You did have a lot of good information. Use your volume was kind of low but one thing that you overlooked you mentioned about the titan 2, but you forgot to mention about the titan ones

The Day After- The movie where the US Air Force launched Minuteman missiles from silos right in front of the residence halls on the KU campus.

The Peacekeeper seemed like a good missile, always found it interesting it was the only cold launched ICBM (excluding SLBM's of course) The whole system was nuts and just shows how barmy the cold war was.
