Silver Lake Sand Dunes 2018 Opening Day

Take a trip to the dunes inside the cab with me in my 93 Ranger Prerunner at Silver Lake Sand Dunes in April 1st 2018. I give a short Tour in the dunes for the peeps who have never been. This was fun and bit awkward to make but I hope you guys dig it.

I am born and raised at Silver Lake 63 years ago. My family had a gas station/restaurant for years. My how it's different now!

Very cool ranger. I had a 93 long box reg cab 2wd with a 350 chevy under the hood. It was just a funn street truck. Now im running a 88 bronco on f350 axles. Cage off rd long radius arms long travel deaver coils up front and long travel deaver leafs out back. 408windsor under the hood with a 4spd manual... 37x13.50x18 nitto mudgrapplers for street use lol.

2.5 hours east of Sault st marie. Massey ontario. Ive got lots of logging truck flicks. And some atv stuff and superduty stuff on my channel. Have a look some time..

The raptor fiberglass kit looks pretty sick. My bronco bumps off trees to often to run nice prerunner fenders. Maybe someday itll get some glassworks help ... lol

Brandon Fredenburg haha they were weak at the time. The wind blows pretty hard there so they change weekly. They are pretty steep now.

Those dunes can change throughout the day and overnight. That area pales in size to glamis, but for Michigan, it's one of the few state areas that you can play so freely on that type of terrain.

Kind of a rookie FU wasn't it, heading out into the dunes low on fuel. Surprised a rig set u like this one doesn't have a gauge. I't a long walk back to the truck when a couple seconds to check yer fuel and all the fluids BEFORE heading out.

Omg....I love the truck.....but is that a shock mount or trail arm bushing making that rattle??? That would drive me nuts....lol I'd be tweaking that truck...I cant stand noise.....lol that's me...thanks for the video!!!

Haha! It's the stock bushings. They do that even when they are new and mine are wore out. On the winter maintenance list.

What's rattling so much in the truck??

Michael Soules it's two things. The shocks don't have a rubber bushing like normal shocks the have a metal uniball style mount and they have a tiny bit of play so you hear it rattle threw the cage. And some of it are the bypass valves opening and closing on the shocks. It's a normal sound in off road trucks. Unless you have Fox shocks. They don't rattle.
