I was there a few years back. Planning on making the trip there again soon. I remember camping in the campground near the lake and a massive storm came in. My buddy went to the van, and i was the only one in a tent, by the morning, in the whole campground. Loved riding there for 9 days.
I am coming over there as soon as I finish restoring my truck! Maybe in the next year or so. Maybe I will get lucky and see it in a video like this one day!
Very nice filming. We live an hour from there, but it's now become way too busy for our liking, and safety is a major concern with so many vehicles coming from every which way.
I thought that that you couldn't have after market exhausts and they do sound checks there. I hear a lot of loud vehicles and see a few race Banshee's out there that are loud. Have the rules changed?. I'd hate to go there and get turned away....
This one is for my wife, she's gunna have me paint it cotton candy purple with a pearl color, with a 3inch lift, I'm excited about doing this, this will be my 5th truck I've restored, last one was a 85 CJ-7,
Can you get the orange flags at the park or do you need to get your own? Also, do you need an ORV Sticker to take your vehicle out on the dunes? Is there also a place to just take your regular 4 X 4 every day driver out to just cruise around vs racing up the hills? I’d be a first timer, thanks for the information.
Univac Official height Dune flags & flag mounts are available from various vendors around the park. The DNR has an area outside the park where you can purchase the required State of Michigan off-road stickers. Once you enter the park you can drive around and just enjoy the sand, your truck, the views, the lake. Climbing or not climbing test hills is a persons choice. Be sure to observe the signs regarding the air pressure of your tires prior to entering the park.
At 29 minutes in you can see my wife waving to you in the back of the stock jeep that was the only one of our cars that didn't need anything to be fixed out there lol
Soooooo, homeboy in the box chev with 4 wheel steering. Am I supposed to be impressed? If that truck makes 1000 wheel hp I take this back but that shit was about as cool as like, 3 wheel motion in a low rider. Spend ur money how you want I'm making my shit fast as fuck with nice interior and air conditioning. Go ahead and hate. My drift car has a/c.
