Supposedly Silver Springs was played live a few times before the Rumours tour (tail end of the Fleetwood Mac Fleetwood Mac tour in 1976) and a handful of times during the early part of the Rumours tour. Why a live version of SS was not included among the live cuts in the Deluxe Rumours releases is beyond me. A few songs were performed early on in the Rumours tour that were later cut out of the tour that should make it onto the next live Rumours collection like Believe Me, Station Man, Silver Springs, Why and Hypnotized.
Been so intrigued lately by the history between them all and their music. Nicks sings like an angel and my now favorite female performer songwriter That band fit together like no other. ❤
How funny, I just said the exact thing to my GF as we watched this. She's young (compared to me anyway) and had not lived through this period. She was amazed at the back story. I saw them live in 1977 in Tucson, AZ along with 49,999 of my closest friends. What a day!
I have loved and been obsessed with this band for around 30 years, and I never knew this was performed live back then. Knew written and released as b side but never thought Id see this. Thank you.
This is even more amazing than the performance from the dance in my opinion. She’s purposefully not even looking at him at, she’s just belting out over the guitar and I love it lol
