In one of your other videos it says you do not use a plasma cutter so it does not over heat the steel but he said that every knife is cut out by a plasma cutter i would like to know if he was incorrect or if the other video was false and you use a plasma cutter instead of a water jet cutter as you other video states i would appreciate a response thank you
We initially started out with a water jet cutter, more recently however, we've been using a plasma and a laser cutter to cut our blanks. It is true that when heated the molecules in steel change. We found that the localized heat from plasma and the laser are comparable to that of the heat generated when we put the grinds on our blades. All of this is corrected however when we heat treat our blades. During heat treat, the blades are brought up to extremely high temperatures where all the molecules in the steel will line back up and create a uniform and very strong molecular structure. So with these new processes we're able to create more precise and stronger knives.
Thanks for a response I'm sure I will be ordering more knives from you in the future I'm very satisfied with the bull nose crown I recently purchased a the only complaint I have ia I think the handle should have been flipped around the curve in the antler feels much more comfortable when the blade edge is facing up thanks again
