How does this guy not have 5 million subs 🤘🏼 Great attitude. Great content. Clean content. Beautiful vehicles with sick mods. What more could a viewer ask for…..I’ll answer for you…….Not much more. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Damn lone star, it’s boost auto baby!!!! Of course they are gonna have the 6 high mod!!!! Never have to push the fog button again!!! Been running that 6 mod & auto fog combo on my 15’ for over year and so happy with the results!!!
I used the resistor for a Silverado, in my Jeep Wrangler to run my DRL. My Jeep also, does high/low DRL same time. Also, Off road lights also. Have same set up in my Silverado also, plus DRL. Boost does a great job, easy install.
I told myself there was no way I'd try that install. Then I watched the install video you linked. Its so easy how could I NOT try it?!? I'm making the purchase right now!
I really like this mod. I have the same light setup. Going to check out the link for the harness. Thanks for the video, can't wait to see what's next for the trail boss.
@@rileykruse849 I don’t see why not.. you would use the same high beam circuit for power and then find the fog light circuit and tap into it for the 6 high mod. Easy peasy.
While on Boost Auto's link, I saw where this modification Part #1844H is listed "For Off Road Use Only". Some States limit the number of White lights "On" at one time while on Public Roadways. Great Idea, be careful....
The reason your fog lights turn off when you turn on your high beams is because if you turn on your fog lights, it's assumed you're in... fog. High beams affect more than help in fog. All manufactures do it, even my '04 ram did it. I do wish they'd allow you to manually turn them on at the same time. Just a bit of knowledge for everyone!
Seems like a missed opportunity not to add the fog lights on at the same time with the highs and the side mirror lights. I did that years ago in my 2017 Silverado.
I believe its a law that fogs can't be on with brights since most regulations state only four lights can be on at at time, and the highs and lows count as four when on.
Hey LH, I also have a 2020 Trail Boss, in satin steel, I did the reverse and license plate bulbs after watching your video, awsome upgrade, do you plan on putting tow mirrors on your Trail Boss, and which ones do you recommend? I watch all your videos keepem comin 🤙
I know an older post , hope your still monitoring comments. If so, can you please clarify something for me? When you use this mod, and turn your high beams on, can you use the dash switch to turn off the mirror lights? For times when you want your high beams, but don’t want the mirror lights. Typical highway driving with highs vs back road driving where you’d want the mirror lights too. Also, I picked up the auto fog mod, keeping fogs on with auto headlights, because I like running them all the time, and the high 6 mod, keeping the fogs on with highs. You see any reason why this mod with the other two wouldn’t all work together, giving the high 8 option? I get the rats nest of wires but the other two mods are a single wire so it wouldn’t be that bad. Love your videos and what you do! Thanks for all the help.
Unfortunately there is not an override to turn the mirror lights off when the high beams are activated with this modification. You do retain all factory control with the high beams off. You should have no issue combining mods.
@@boostautoparts thank you for the info/reply and for continuing to monitor comments on your products. Can I expect the same functionality with the auto fog and the high 6 mods as well? If the fogs are on when the headlights come on automatically (auto fog) then you cannot deactivate them (fogs) with the button. And similarly, with the high 6 mod, brights on, fogs can’t be turned off either with the button? Appreciate the help and looking forward to installing this weekend.
Ever looked at an auto stop eliminator? Curious to see if there is anyway to do it without tearing down the whole dash. Only vids I’ve seen include 20 clips, side panels and dash removal to get to it. I’m too scared I would break one. Enjoy your vids working on afe muffler delete and just bought this kit as well as the all light mod.
@@LonestarHawaiian There is something you can put inline with the switch that makes it so you don't have to turn it off every time you get in the truck. Here is a link to one: www.autostopeliminator.com/products/2019-silverado-sierra-autostop-eliminator
Not sure if there is a difference but I have a 2022 trail boss and this did not work on my truck. I triple checked. I definitely had the correct wires. I cut the wire tap back so I had a nice clean view. It didn’t work. Guess I’ll have to push the button..😒
Having brights on while using fog lamps is also counter intuitive. The brighter the light forward facing, the more it reflects off of the fog and thus lowering your forward visibility. It’s a curtesy thing
No one uses their hi's in the fog because it doesn't help. Being able to have the fogs on with hi's makes sense for more light output on a dark road. As far as courtesy, hi's are usually turned off when another vehicle is approaching so I'm not sure where you're going with that one.
I put this Mod on I also put the fog light auto on Mod. You don't need to purchase the 6 Mod also. On my Silverado when my high beams are on the fogs stay on also. Just FYI Save your $$
The reason your fog lamps shut off, with high beams is federal law. By law a on road motor vehicle may have only “4” lamps on at any given time on road. Low beams count each as one, a driving light or fog lamp each count as one. So if you have low beams on, and fog lamps that is four. High beams count as 2 each. Again four. Having more lamps on, on road, is a violation for each lamp. Now if you turn on off road only lamps on road…those count as 6 each. In some state they will suspend your license for using off-road lamps on road, and confiscate them. Don’t ever turn on a rear facing lamp while driving that too is illegal
I had to pick between the safety package that includes those lights and the 6.2L motor on mine... I picked the motor. Not sure what to do with those lights since we get pulled over around here for running ditch lights on the street.
Shouldn't there be a way to just override the park kill function for the mirror lights? Seems like it would be nicer to be able to use the functionality of those lights whether you're in park or not without having your high beams on.
@@IamMugs well with 07-13 truck is just 2 connectors you t tap and your 6 hi mod is done. In 99-07 trucks it’s a circuit board you plug into the relays and you have 6/8hi mod and done. Newer vehicles are always more complicated
definitely go for the 6 on high mod at some point, i love being able to have fogs + brights on. they disable fogs on high from factory for safety reasons, otherwise some idiots would go around with their high beams on in fog...and that just glares vs increasing visibility.
@11:40 it’s a legality thing not a Chevy thing. By law you are not supposed to be able to have your fogs and high beams on at the same time. I have no idea the why behind it.
I was wonder if you knew of anyway to take the 98mph governor off of the 2020 trail boss? Went to race my buddy and i blew his doors off till i hit 98 and he just kelpt climbing.....
So many damn Trail Boss videos. Anyone make videos for us cheap bastards with our Silverado LTs? I’d watch that. I mean, ain’t no custom s#!t to be done to an LT? There are literally thousands of Trail Boss and High County channels.
I am amazed at how the police have decided to stop enforcing vehicle codes forbidding things like this and offroad LED bars not being covered when on the road. I hope for your sake they don't suddenly remember to writ tickets for it.
Once COVID is getting pushed back further and further, Traffic Law Code Stops will start back up, soon. Lot's of States have Graduated New Troopers classes and there is nothing more irritating than a New Ticket Happy Writing Trooper.
