To make a decent espresso you’ll need 18g of freshly ground coffee in an open filter. The machine should provide no more than 9 bars of pressure and the extraction should take somewhere between 20 and 30 seconds to get about 36g to 40g of liquid. So you’ll need - A good grinder that can that can grind fine enough for espresso and that can be adjusted within the espresso range. - a precision scale to weigh the coffee - tamper to tamp the coffee with approximately 15kg. (The amount of pressure is not very critical) - an espresso machine with an over pressure valve set to 9 bar - a timer (phone or scale) to time your shots. When your coffee tastes too sour, then you should grind a little finer. The extraction will take a little longer and you’ll get more bitters If your coffee tastes too bitter, you should set the grinder a little coarser. The shots will take a shorter time and less bitters will be extracted. A good enough grinder for espresso will cost more than this espresso machine.

You should wait some time after pressing the steam button until the water is hot enough and then start making the milk foam.

I can’t figure it out…. But no water is coming out. Not sure what else I can do. Any troubleshooting tips- hoping it’s obvious

Silvercrest Espresso Machine SEMS 1100 A1 was withdrawn from the market by Lidl for error fabrication issue, wich in some cases electrocuted the user !!!!

Can you please show the channeling of this machine? And show how the water is being deployed? Very many of those machines have so much problems. There are only few machines that cheap that actually produce pretty good espresso.

My machine seems to be making too much noise when I steam the milk. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Lol 14g coffee in 35g out. Alles andere ist weder Espresso noch gut. Pls buy a grinder for fresh coffee

Watery shot, with basically no Crèma... did you see the subpar shot he pulled..?? Sadly, this machine will not suffice. Move on folks.
