Me used to own a bootleg of this toy when I was an 11 year old kid. It's from a Hong Kong based toy company called Happy Well. It was part of this bootleg toyline called Galaxy Defender: The Robot That Changes. I got it as a belated Christmas present in early 2006.
I just started watching the Brave series, and I'm on "Goldran" right now. When I saw these guys at first, I figured they were a reissue of the Max Team from "Exkaiser." Apparently not, since the engineering and placement of the jet and car are different. Still, it's kind of odd that they came up with a nearly-identical group when all the other shows have such variety between them. I'd love to see HasTak remake some of these with modern engineering. Three- and four-member combiner teams are underrepresented and underappreciated these days.
I remember my cousin owning knockoffs of several of the Brave figures like Super Fire Dagwon,Shadow Dagwon (which I unfortunately broke),Granbird and this guy. Always brought Star Silver out with me. The pin for the head of the knockoff, from what I remember, seemed to be tighter than what's seen here. The legs were very wiggly too though.
The legs are not in ratchet joints, they are on mushroom pegs. Rip one off, you'll see (don't panic, you can put it right on with no problem) I owned the Green one and I liked it, it was fun to play with a giant pair of legs with a head on top XD Keep the awesome rollin' Balts!
Hey if you like combining robots that have vehicle modes and normal robot mode check out drscorpionx I don't know him personally but I think his work is really cool he takes bionicles and makes fusions of them and combiners it's really cool he has one of Tahu master of fire and Onua master of earth to become Tanua master of magma and others there all really cool (do you think I'm promoting him to much comment below if so!)
there's only one thing i don't get about these guys and it's actually about the 4th member of the silver knights fire silver which isn't here why is a guy named fire silver an ambulance
3:19 Once you’re able to yank his robot mode out of its chest, it’s actually a nifty looking robot mode. His robot mode out of chest? Don’t you mean his head.
I'm really happy you've made this video. As random as it is, I had this series figures when I was younger. They had a slightly different colour scheme, but regardless the same gimmick. Thanks for relieving my memories.
NOTE: The legs are NOT on rachet joints, but just some friction pegs, whichs means u can pull them off easily for some reason. Probably is because of making it safer for a kid not to break it I guess. Also, when u try to pull out Jet Silver's head, he actually has hooks on both ears for u to grip and pull, which I believe u should have figured out by now. The crotch plate of Star Silver doesn't connect to the peg thingy. That is for Silver Fire / God Silverion's combination. So don't force it, u will stress or even break the plastic. One more thing, he holds the shield on the other peg on Star's shield.
I liken Centuritron to this guy. Think about it. Short squat robot that turns to a tank, a robot with really long legs that forms the arms, and a decently proportioned robot that forms a main section.
I own a knockoff of this set. It's from a Chinese toy line called Galaxy Defender: The Robot That Changes from a Chinese toy company called Happy Well.
i had the ko version of these and the set came with an ambulance that became huge feet and a jet pack and chest plate. the ko version looked much better to me
What's up with the Japanese and their obsession with drill vehicles? Drill vehicles that can only poke tiny holes in reality, but in fiction, they have Bugs Bunny magic?
Le Kanraposte because drill tanks are awesome! Also this obcession with drill tanks isn't really a thing at all plus drill tanks these days are a rare thing to see...
