A walk through of my Superior Veranda Suite aboard Silversea Silver Moon. The only difference between the different grades of veranda suite is location - there is no additional amenity between grades.
Thanks for watching. It does depend a bit on the itinerary and length of cruise but generally I find that there’s £100-200 between categories so between classic veranda to deluxe veranda it’s around £500-600 more. The only difference being location. Deluxe are centrally located. The only champagne that is chargeable is on the connoisseur list (vintages). I’m afraid I can’t remember what brands are included sorry but I’m sure the sommelier will find something to your taste that’s complimentary including rose if that’s your thing. Just ask, they’re very accommodating. Hope that’s helpful!
Very nice first impression - the bathroom is pretty; looks like there are lovely little high quality bath soaps, etc., too. What I found interesting is that while there is no shortage of power sockets, only CE plugs are either side of the couch - no North America 110 there? The balcony looks ample enough for two (or 1). A bit deeper than I am used to. Good bit of room :) Nice room tour, Pete!
Thanks Bob, yes, the bathroom is well appointed and I like the separate tub and shower arrangement. I understand that on the new Nova class, they’re removing some of the tubs and suites will have a very large walk in shower, which I think is my preference. Absolutely, the toiletries are Bulgari but you have another option if you prefer the fragrance or there is an hypoallergenic option if needed. I hadn’t really spotted that about the sockets by the couch. I guess it’s a hangover of the Italian heritage perhaps? They have US ones by the bed and also above the sideboard side, there’s also a universal socket there in case you forget an adapter. You wouldn’t have a problem charging your tech I’m sure. The balconies are not massive but as you say are perfect for a couple. Perhaps one day I’ll be able to show off some of the outside areas of the larger suites 😁
I’m not sure it’s particularly small but a second chair would get in the way and isn’t really necessary with the full size sofa. Obviously if you want a separate dining area then the higher category suites are more suitable than the veranda suites. However if you want to dine in your suite in this category, the butler will add a foldaway table top to the smaller table you can see (stored in the walk in closet) and dress the table with restaurant linens etc. you can the either use the sofa or the dresser stool as your second seat. It actually works quite well, so don’t be put off. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching. Yes the bathroom is lovely, especially if you like a bath as well as the shower. Most of the ships are like that but interestingly the Nova class will have larger walk in showers in place of the tub, which is my preference to be honest. Glad you enjoyed the suite tour, there’s a full ship tour coming up soon.
