They design ODD-less PC cases way too often, nowadays. I agree, that sucks

Its great to see a new case without gaming shit and tempered glass I just need a basic case - they are very hard to find these days!

So damn f...king true ! There's the *Antec P20CE* if you like this minimalist approach but need more room (more space for the PSU for example).

I love how simple and clear the video presentation is. I like the location of the front ports on the case in the video.

I just got the case and opened it up. I was amazed and pleased at how clean and tidy it was inside. Just what I want. I just need to install a couple of 3.5" drives and maybe 1 or 2 SSD drives.

I feel like this would have been the perfect case if it just included a side window. "USB-C on the front/top + Drive bay for a BlueRay drive + Side window to show see internals" would be perfection.

Hi, and thanks for the video. The fact that there's only a *186 mm clearance for the PSU* (and knowing that a Corsair RM850x PSU already is 160 mm in length) is a bit a problem for me. And a RM1000x is 180 mm, so good luck with the cables ^^. Too bad, because I wanted a "sleeper" but really powerful gaming PC, and I would have jumped on this case right from the start if there was enough clearance for the power unit. Do you have the exact same, but with at least 200 mm clearance for the PSU and a movable HDD cage, this would have been the killer of this decade ^^. Btw, mad props for still including some 5,25 bays and solid panels. Fuck ARGB and tempered glass.
@Silverstonetech
@Silverstonetech 5 месяцев назад
Our 186mm clearance for the PSU refers to the power supply itself only, excluding cables. In other words, we take into account of room you would need for cables when coming up with that number. The actual space between the rear of the case and the drive cage is 216mm (theoretically giving you 30mm of space for cables if you use a 186mm long PSU). So you should be able to use both PSU mentioned (160mm and 180mm) without too much trouble.

My first querry is the hard drive cage - it looks liek it will be hard to screw them in. A caddie system like the Coolrmaster ones woiuld have been great
@fridaycaliforniaa236

Yup. And the fact that a Corsair RM850x PSU already is 160 mm in length is a big red flag for me (there's only a 186 mm clearance, according to this video and the official page for this case). And a RM1000x is 180 mm, so good luck with the cables ^^. Too bad, because I wanted a "sleeper" gaming PC, and I would have jumped on this right from the start if there was enough clearance for the power unit.

Also I hope there will be enough room for my power supply cables coming out at the bottom and then going up into the case.

Very nice looking case, although I find the inclusion of a PSU shroud somewhat unusual considering the solid side panel. Do you plan on making a glass version? Or perhaps different cases using this chassis?
@Silverstonetech
@Silverstonetech Год назад
The PSU shroud for modern ATX cases also has the function of adding structral rigidity in addition to covering the PSU. But yes, having the shroud there gives us flexibility to utilize the chassis for a different design in the future.
@Hanstra
@Hanstra Год назад
Oh, interesting. Thanks for the insight. I was wondering, is the shroud connected to the rest of the chassis through solely rivets? I'm interested in using this case for a simple modding project.
@Silverstonetech
@Silverstonetech Год назад
@@Hanstra Yes, the shroud is riveted to the rest of the chassis.

There are far too many cases out these with glass. I bought this case yesterday as I don't want glass - It does not have RGB fans so its business or productivity case. There are millons of gaming cases!

I wish instead of a 5inch dvd drive bay it had two more 3.5" drive potential in this case.

If you are OK to stretch your budget a bit more, please consider our new SETA D1 case instead. It has plenty of drive bay options despite supporting all modern hardware such as Type-C port, liquid cooling, big CPU coolers, and big GPUs: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vEA8W4zRf6M.html

Great. But its 2022 and we have been waiting 2+ years for the new Raven or even the Alta S1..where are they?? Those cases have character and style. Please Silverstone at least give us an update or something.
@Silverstonetech
@Silverstonetech Год назад
Both projects were suspended indefinitely after the pandemic started and created unfavorable circumstances for mass producing these type of high end cases. But we have been working on a new ALTA case for release in 2023, you can check out a preview of it in another video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wRgKkiBPMqE.html

Sometimes our distributors choose not to import items that they think may not have enough demand in their countries. So the best way would be to contact the SilverStone distributor or reseller in your area directly and see if you can order from them. You can find them listed in the below pages: www.silverstonetek.com/en/where-to-buy/c_sing www.silverstonetek.com/en/where-to-buy/c_mala

We still have a couple of older case models that have two 5.25" drive bays available. If you need one, please consider either the PS11 or PS13: www.silverstonetek.com/en/product/info/computer-chassis/PS11/ www.silverstonetek.com/en/product/info/computer-chassis/PS13/

Why I cannot get it in Europe? :(
@Silverstonetech
@Silverstonetech 9 месяцев назад
The demand for this case by our distributors and resellers have been too low for us to import into Europe. However, we do still have the SETA D1 available, which is similar to FARA 513 but with better specs. and compatibility. Check it out if you haven't already: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vEA8W4zRf6M.html

Come on, Silverstone... You put out a new case in late 2022 that claims great compatibility (internally), but then completely neglect the front I/O panel? Sure, having a separate USB 2.0 front port is great, but nowadays you kind of _have_ to include USB-C 3.x too, especially if you're building a case for people who want a case that's future-proof. USB-C isn't even the future anymore, it's _now!_
@Silverstonetech
@Silverstonetech Год назад
This case has two versions, one of them will have Type-C port in place of the USB 2.0 port. Please watch the video again from 1:42 to see it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1ZZ08aYPStA.html

@@Silverstonetech You are totally right, I stand corrected. I must have looked away for those few seconds! The adaptation of the USB-A port shape with the little insert and a USB-C connector is giving me ideas on how to 'update' other cases, too. Nice! Is that USB-C connector connected with a USB 3.2 Gen1 header, or with a 3.2 Gen2 header?
@Silverstonetech
@Silverstonetech Год назад
@@NLRevZ The internal connector for the Type-C port is a "Key A" connector, which is what most motherboards have nowadays. The Key A connector can be either USB 3.2 Gen 1 or Gen 2, just like USB Type-A port's internal 19pin connector can also have USB 3.2 Gen 1 or Gen 2 speeds (though much more rare). If you also like to connect the case's USB Type-C port to the latest USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 speed, we also offer a PCIe card for sale separately that will help you achieve that speed: www.silverstonetek.com/en/product/info/expansion-cards/ECU07/

How do you install a psu on this... the cords wont go in if you put them in before and if you do it after.. it is like impossible
@Silverstonetech
@Silverstonetech 6 месяцев назад
The recommended PSU length/depth is 186mm so sounds like you may have a PSU that is longer. If you need to keep your PSU, then please check out the bigger SETA D1 case instead: www.silverstonetek.com/en/product/info/computer-chassis/SETA_D1/ Otherwise, we also have lots of PSUs that are shorter than FARA 513's allowable PSU size limit: www.silverstonetek.com/en/product/power-supplies/?filter=ATX_PS2
