These videos are so awesome. So much attentions to detail in making them. The amazing background music, the quality of video, panning of frames, perfect lighting and a perfect and honest review. Just too good. Apple of Videos
I'm shocked you didn't mention the lack of rubber grommets on the cable routing holes. That's always struck me as something that bothers you when it's not included.
As always very pleased with your style of reviewing. I feel I can really trust your experience to the case market. Building my system now with the NZXT H440 and lots of air cooling for a negative pressure enclosure..
Hands down best case reviews on youtube. I 'd so much appreciate if you could do review on the aerocool DS cube Dimitri. I'm excited about the case, it's not so much the review I'm longing, it's just that you have a unique way of detecting faults and innovations, so I'd just really like to hear your opinion on it.
I already have a completed pc and have no intention on building another anytime soon, but i still find myself watching all these overviews, just cause.
I'm on the lookout for a new case as I have outgrown the potential of my Silverstone TJ08e but I really love the inverted mobo layout with top mounted and hidden PSU so this case was high on my list of options. The main reasons I decided not to go with this case where the front door (hinged doors on computers can be a nuisance) The overall size and the huge window plus I really don't like the looks of the front panel. I have tried to get past the looks and tried to like it and checked out as many reviews as I can find without it getting any more attractive. I understand that they where trying to make it stand out from the crowd, I get that but a plain, non-sculpted look would have appealed to a much wider market imo. If it had been made to look more like the TJ08e then I would have been a bit more interested but then again that price tag is not very attractive at all and I can't get over the size of the thing ! I have looked at all the suitable Silverstone cases but not been able to satisfy my requirements. I even emailed Silverstone to ask if they had any plans to release an ATX version of the Tj08e and was very pleasantly surprised to get a reply, unfortunately the reply was negative. So my next case is probably going to be an ARC MIDI V2 because it is much nicer looking, much more sensibly sized and about half the price.
Silverstone basically took the FT02 (which I own), put it on its back (where the PSU was), replaced one of the 180mm fans with 5.25" bays, and rearranged the locations of the PSU and drives....
I really like the amount of foam the case comes with along with the drive mounting system. Although cumbersome, I do like the usage of space. But there are better cases with more flexibility for cheaper. So, I can't justify purchasing this case.
is window cases still in demand? windows make the system more noisy, less no side fan option, and need to get a good looking internal, i only see negatives with windows.
I think the GPU and CPU cooler supports are the biggest ticket here to me. I remember when support brackets were a staple in MUCH older cases. Why nobody incorporates these anymore is a curiosity. The price is definitely the biggest downfall to me. I would have preferred sub 200, like 199 or 189. Just my opinion mind you.
How about Phanteks Enthoo Primo or Silverstone Fortress FT02B? Both are really good cases, with the former suiting water cooling. On the other hand Corsair has diapponited with there newer full size cases, they look horrible if you have any 5.25" devices installed and lack build quality (especially 900D). I do agree with NZXT though, personally I don't like there angular look, but the cases are very functional and well built, although with a bit much plastic for the price. Also look at Nanoxia Deep Silence 5 for air cooling and the 6 for water if your trying to build a system that blends into the background and is silent, these biig towers are like the Fractal Design Define on steroids, and in the latter case you can fit a thick 360mm and 280mm rad with push pull and still keep 10 (of 13) HDD or SSD mounts and 2-3 (of 4) 5.25" bays, all with up to HP-ATX motherboards and long GPU's still. Downside, its big and boring to look at, without anything exceptional about the build processes, everything you expect to see in a modern case, but nothing cool that you didn't.
God i remember the time when Silverstone made the best cases in the world like the TJ-07 &TJ-11 But now every case that comes out seems to be badly designed. And made with crappy materials and just not innovative :( R.I.P SilverStone
PSU at the top and upside down M.B mounting in a windowed case are total off putting for me if they are insisting on mounting the MB upside down then don't put a window in
It's a sexy looking case by all means but I'm not sure that the price tag works for it. Obviously the build quality is great and it's all aluminium which is awesome but still a bit much.
It's too expensive for what it is. I think the FT01 Is a much better looking and I believe more solid chassis than this iteration. I believe that the FT02 is the best Fortress case Silverstone has made to date. The new FT05 looks promising as the design hearkens back the FT02.
wow ...90 degree MOBO turn was awesome design....this is a gimmick that i can copy by take my old antec case and turning upside down then flipping my optical drives around.
80-100$ overpriced. Yes the front panel and foam is nice, but stuff like GPU and CPU supports are more a gimmick and there is no forgiving that horrible SSD mount.
