With some monstrous radiator support, we take a look at the very very expensive supertower chassis from SilverStone, the ALTA F2.
**Correction on the front panel being plastic. SilverStone have reached out that the brushed aluminum part on the front is actually a thin sheet of Aluminum.

I've been a long time fan of SilverStone's cases, especially of the TJ and FT series (TJ-07, TJ-11, FT-01, FT-02, FT-03 Mini are all some of my favorites), and while being $1K is not an immediate deal-breaker, having the front panel be plastic on a case that expensive definitely is. If this was an all-aluminum chassis like some of their old cases, I'd probably buy it even at that price, as that is just such a rarity these days.

I miss cases of back in the day, so much better quality, TJ09 was my first case and still use it to this day then later got a TJ07 and did the Xforma mod to it, only modern case i have that i really like is the Sliger Cerberus X. Its unfortunate to build in a modern high quality aluminum case now days you basically have to go ITX.

Still running an all air FT02 but the 4090 is so big!! If anyone has found a way to run a 4090 in an ft02 w/0 water cooling lmk. This case looks great but seems like it's value point is more like 600/700 than 1k

Back in the day I think the ft02 was like 250 bucks, that would be about 380 bucks current day w inflation but pc builds were less popular back then, seems like most companies are cashing out on the increased popularity. I know cargo shipping prices have also gone up a great deal and that has to be driving the price but yeah 1k is def a "how many rich chumps are out there" shot across the bow.

Man I just love what you do. Obviously I'm not gonna buy or build any of that crazy machines but it still keeps me interested. The way you deliver is a masterpiece work. Your like organizing, editing skill is insane. I can't image how messy it all must be, I mean tons of footage, short clips you shoot and pick the right ones, put them in a correct order, voice over that make sense, etc and you ain't lazy for sure, you show every potential variation how you can do this and that, every feature... That lowkey gives me a headache thinking about it. Almost forgot to mention your music choice and how you synchronize sound to image. You got that vision. I'm watching you for years and your content quality only going up. You deserve more subs, views and recognition in general. I love everything about this channel. Btw I personally love this setup and how it looks 19:02 . I have 7950X3D too and it must feel hellajealous right now 😂 mine is paired with Lian Li aio. (Just in case, I'm not a native English speaker)

I bought a TJ11 for US 650 back in the day. I was super excited at the time. However, as time has passed, I have come to the conclusion that you get great cases, in which you can have beautiful builds, for less (and in some cases far less) than USD 200. I would either save the money not spent on such an expensive case or use it to buy better hardware. This is super niche, which is the only thing that can explain the price point. I don't see many people buying this case, and I don't see SilverStone in the black with this case. Having said all of the above, the build is - as usual - very beautiful.

About the price, well considering I paid over 500 for my tj10 in 2007 and taking inflation into account..... I guess it works out for something like this? But if you compare this to Lian Li or Phanteks, yeah you'd have to be a big Silverstone fan.

Used to run the raven cases. 90 degree layout was always amazing. Great cases. Had gtx 570 sli with 3770k my last build in one. Always regretted selling my Raven 2. Did run the Raven 3 for a while but wasn't the same.

I have the FT-02 with my main build for at least the past 10 years and had even swapped out so that I have USB3 ports on the front instead of USB2 it came with. It's still my favorite case of all time BUT I was a bit restricted because modern video cards have become so giant that I had to go with a Radeon 7900xt as a recent upgrade. It can't fit the 7900XTX or a Geforce 4090. If video cards keep getting larger then I'm happy to see that I can buy this ALTA F2 to keep the 90 degree motherboard rotate design I love sooo much :D

I owned a SilverStone Raven RV02 back when spending $150 on a case was was a lot of money but coming with all the fans it did and cooling as well as it did that thing was a beast. Kind of wish Silverstone was less niche but I guess Fractal has kind of taken that place for me when it comes to cases now a days. That said that thing is a monster. would love to see what someone could do with a Xeon W in that thing.

Used to run the Raven RV02 for SLI when it was a thing. ABSOLUTELY loved that case. Far less space for something that grand now but Love that it lives on. Side note: What are those beauties behind you? I'll be lookin through vid history but apparently I've missed some!!

I have 1 Monsta Tripple 180mm Fan Rad and i think this is OP. But This here is defenetly OP! Mine is standing on a Braket and gets all time fresh air Trough. Components are chilling in Evovl Shift X Big one Case.

Can i ask how is the clearance with the gpu mounted horizontally? (with it using pci riser) it says around 600mm on silverstone with hdd cage removed but it doesn't mention about cpu coolers, like if I had an air cooled cpu would that block the gpu making the 600mm only for watercooled cpu?

I've been waiting for a Raven RV02 refresh for the longest time but settled for the P500A for the airflow layout, time a and time again I almost bought the Raven RV02... I'm glad this exists but it's way out of my price range, I was hoping it was like around $350~700 tops

I actually owned the TJ11 and it was a monster, but very dated layout. Radiator support was practically non-existant, unless you modded it yourself. Bottom chamber had no mounting holes or brackets for any radiators and the two 180 fans at the bottom of the MB chamber were spaced awkwardly, and theres was little room on top for a radiator as well. The only viable spot was the front, if you remove all the bay covers and the tray and somehow get a radiator mounted there. But it least it looked premium and everything was screwed down, not a single rivet in sight. And it was HEAVY. Tho as soon as Thermaltake unleashed their Tower 900, I ditched the TJ11 for that, and honestly never regretted it. As cool as the TJ11 seemed, it was quite unpractical to work with and that tiny plastic window was an eyesore. ^^ Tho I still own the FT02 for my daily drive PC. The only complaint I got is it's also heavy 😭

I just found out about this case almost a year after you made this video... WOW Silverstone is very good at stealth dropping cases, freaking ninjas. I would like the front glass replaced with Mesh and the side glass replaced with a solid panel. Is this still even being made?

I still have silverstone rv02 but cages for hdds are removed,the problem is that i can not install any 360/420 AIO,mean i can above 1800 mm fans but can not aatched it properly,so for not change rv02 for know,will buy noctua nh d15 cromaxblack for 13600k,as my corsair h55 can not cool it.

I bought a V3000 Plus, mostly because of your builds in it. And when i see this -still pleasant- case, I wonder why it cost double the price with half the radiators capability ? By number of rads, I mean, not effective cooling and temperatures improvements. However, the layouts possibilities are very interesting.

It’s a little weird. The only realistic use case for this much cooling is probably a Threadripper Pro or Sapphire Rapids workstation with multiple RTX 6000 GPUs, but the top radiator blocks multiple GPU access. I think it would be better if they take some inspiration from servers and allow multiple GPU riser cables to mount them in the back

I thought the Rads will hide in the Chambers on the top and bottom. But then i realised with the fliped mobo the cables are in the way🤦 With these monster rads the case now looks too stuffed for my taste, with so much room wasted. I left a sub, because im very curious to see the evo xl build...

The price is 999.99usd, honestly it’s still obtainable if you can buy an Oled monitor, rtx 4090 and a 13900k. Funnily your cooling components might cost more than other individual parts.

At that size, the limitations are unforgivable. Considering its price, no way. Too much wasted space. The rotated motherboard killed it. Could’ve been the same layout as the NV7, but with front mesh, triple 180 at the front, triple 180 at the bottom, support for 480 at the top.

How much does it hurt the temps taking in air from rads? In my case I've noticed that the inside of the case just gets too hot with 360mm rad intake.

How did you run from one radiator to the other in this configuration? A friend of mine is trying to replicate this exact build and it's not clear because GPU, CPU and one rad are just going in and out to the distro.

I don't really get the point of this when the v3000 exists for half the price. I'll also likely never get the point of having less thick ass rads instead of more thinner rads. Hell, the CTE 750 can take 2 45mm 430 rads plus 3 another 420 and 2 more 280s. The NV9 gets you better aesthetics and the EVOs give you the rotation/GPU mounting options. And then you're kinda stuck with this case because very few other cases would take these rads. I just don't get who the target audience is for this. You get so much more value from cases that are far cheaper.

No point of something like this, it’s just to large and weird configurations. It’s just supersized radiators and allot of extras to fill the case. Save your money buy a nice mid tower with better components and call it a day 🤷‍♂️

This is garbage Chinese design, not practical, not human usable, unmovable, unliftable, and with all the "beauty" you have to install it on the floor or buy crazy deep desk thats over 70cm,which is unusual I have 2 cases Phanteks 719 for my unRaid [over 20 HDDs] [its "unliftable" and stands on the floor, but its HDDs so its fine] and Corsair 7000X for my gaming PC [custom loop, Nemesis GTX 360, Nemesis GTS480] And here is why the silverstone is garbage cage #1 Corsair 7000X shorter than silverstone but its already as long as standard PC desk 55cm [my desk is 60cm deep but I seen many PC desks that 50 or 45] I cant access the rear ports, i cant easy open the glass door to work on it, my current solution is i have a shelf under desk that peaks outside and some books on the shelf so the PC case is 30% on the shelf and 70% on the desk. its a "HOBO" solution #2, 7000X is already 20KG while empty, that Silverstone is probably 30-35kg empty, add all the radiators it supports [HUGE ones] + water and you come to 60-70kg plus its long size, try to lift that to work on it? YOU CANT, you need someone to help you, every time you want to do something you need someone to help you move that crap My 7000x with dual rads and water is heavy as F, probably 40-45kg, i need to remove teh glass door, the front and top glass and sometimes the steel side door to move it to workbench. Its uncomfotable and i regret going this route [the 719 i used before for my main build, was also heavy but much lighter, because its lighter case, doesn't have heavy steel double doors and front + top glass, just side door Im sizing down and moving to external rad + smaller case thats shorter and lighter
