4:28 - 4:43 is a top 10 moment in music for me. It's been like 10 years and I keep coming back for that amazing part. It's a great song and good band, but I wish he sang like this more often!
the exact same thing goes for me, except it's 2:04 - 2:18 holy fuckin' hell, the way they break out of that first go at the chorus... especially the slightly raw twang from Brian's J-200 behind those wicked intense strums... i haven't forgotten that damn sound since the very first time i watched this unplugged set on Palladia all the way back in 2009 i think lol such a criminally-unknown performance
This is the song/video that got me into sspu. So glad i randomly remembered this and substitution. My mind late night love it lets me remember music like this that i cherrish.
This was my introduction to Silversun Pickups. Went out and bought Swoon afterwards. Was not disappointed at all. 12 years later, and I still listen to it. This is the only version of this song I listen to, though.
I remember watching this when it came out. It’s not generally my cup of tea. I prefer hard rock but this performance and song was and is STILL mesmerizing. Incredible vocals. Tight band top to bottom and then add the string section. Really amazing.
Is there a higher audio quality version of this exact concert somewhere? I mean this is by far the best version of the song and it's an absolute shame that I can't find a better quality version of this. Maybe the uploader has more infos?
