Sima yi was a very clever person. He knew how to feign ignorance, in order to protect himself from potential enemies in Cao wei court. Enemies that were jealous of his talent. This explained why he survived for so long.
@@pradyumn2692 zhuge Liang was working for Liu bei, not Cao Cao. He did not have to hide and protect himself from treacherous people in a more hostile environment.
@@doraemon61377after Liu Bei's dead, the Shu court become more corrupt. One of Zhuge Liang's northern campaign has to be cancelled/delayed midway (I forgot which) because the corrupt ministers accused him of trying to build army and usurped the crown of Shu, so he needs to go back to the capital to explain himself to Liu Shan
@@kusumandriyanto that was not really a huge problem anyway. Shu army was 300k strong and needed time to refit and resupply. It was well defended on mount qi and there were other capable generals like Wei Yan and Wang Ping to look after in Zhuge Liang’s absence. The thing about Zhuge Liang was that he was a very cautious and cunning commander that never let any one variable ruin his victory chance. He still managed to return to Mount Qi after explaining to Liu Shan, unlike Yue Fei (another Chinese hero in different era) who was killed by his emperor instead of finishing his campaign.
Zhuge Liang's troll of him was probably the biggest flex in Chinese history after dogmeat general, he was damn right too we're still talking about it hundreds of years later. 死诸葛吓活仲达 XD the face he made too.
