What I found best for cash and also helps build up my levels was bulldozing buildings then creating them again. I was very stuck in my game at I believe level 14, and my sims were whining and I was broke and couldn't suffice their needs. So what I did was *I bulldozed like all my buildings and then created more, kept upgrading them and I earned $20,000 in just a an hour. Now, I've reached level 26 in a few hours, my people are very happy I make really, really good money* and products and people are buying mine. My town has grown but I keep it at a certain population. I bulldoze 3 buildings at a time usually and then create more. I go by 3s, sometimes 2. Depends. But I found this to be the easiest way to make cash...not selling wood lol And when it's time to switch up my town I just bulldoze everything and I keep my money, keep my level and everything. It's really simple I suggest everyone tries it. I went from having only like $3000 some to making over $40,000 in just like 2 hours. I double my cash in minutes pretty much

Buy 20+ Burgers. The police station offer 90.000+ ...if the offer is under 80k don't accept the offer and they will come back with a much higher offer of 90k+ Just keep repeating the process... spend 72k on burgers and sell for over 90k 😉👍
Good hints here. I didn't know about swiping to load the factories. And searching cities from the trader is a new one to me. I did a economic analysis of production and found the same thing you did, the lower the cost/time the more profitable.
I'm only doing this for fun. Not competing w/anyone. That said I'm on level 32 100% sims happy and 440,000 population. In my opinion maximizing your storage helps. Make buffer zones out of stores, and govt services. Place polluting utilities in top left or right corners to isolate them. Build lots of parks, Join the mayor contest for keys, bonuses and factory acceleration tokens. Last play of the day should be focused on getting factories and stores stocked and ready to work while you rest. Add extra capacity to everything when possible. Upgrade roads and keep them the same lanes when possible to avoid traffic. Check for traffic problems by pressing roads then signal light. If upgrading the section of road is too expensive, move buildings on road to less dense areas. You can eliminate traffic by moving buildings . Personally I like to work with the land /terrain. Try to keep all four lakes turning them into parks. Use clean energy and utilities.Come visit New Sebastien City
SebStar427 I've found that if you bulldoze and replace a road that Sims are complaining about instead of upgrading them it works just as well and doesn't cost you anything.
I am at level 17 too! Tip: If your roads are really busy, don’t expand them! All you have to do is bulldoze it then rebuild it! It actually works! Since it is a “new road” so there are no people on it right away, making it not busy
Wrong. Tearing up the roads and rebuilding them COSTS more money. To keep redoing that costs MORE than to upgrade them. Do the math before you give out fake advice.
Lucky you still get the Ads. I stopped getting Ads after actually making a (real money) purchase. Ads provided very good stuff. The Locks, Shelves etc are valuable expansion items for your Storage. Don't sell those unless there's a huge imbalance between the 3 items req'd. Also, I prefer to sell items one at a time cuz few people will buy 5 pizzas etc at top price. Best to sell high value items one at a time & if market is saturated, reduce price just a bit. Seeds seem to sell fast. I sell them 2 or 3 at a time. I figure most players are also hurting for storage space like me. Btw cracking up laughing re what you call the items 😂 & I too get annoyed how lazy Sims are when a clinic or park is right down the street😄. The gold keys are important later! It's great when a gift box has gold key but seems only one per day is possible. Bought schools & beach items with those. Once dock is built you get them sending shipments. My city is 99% happy but I agree the Sims are annoying complainers; noise if a factory is too close; sewage is nearby; not enough parks (despite they live beachfront) Lol!😄
Thanks for the tip! Helped me out greatly. But in my opinion, for idle selling, since I am only Level 13, I get my farms to idly make seeds. Then I check back and make Vegetables. I increase my queue. Then I. Check back and sell the vegetables at the trade center as I think it reaps the best profit to time ratio for idle farming.
You should know to have services for them. If your sims are complaining you don’t know what you’re doing, (or you’re just early in the game when the services are being introduced.)
+YepX Since everything syncs with the server and gets verified with checksums, it should be impossible to cheat. Of course there are the occasional bugs or tricks that people find. Like the old destroy, rebuild, destroy, rebuild trick to earn money. But of course they're pretty quick to fix those work arounds. If you're willing to grind, you can earn a lot from making and selling wood or just by collecting free presents from other peoples cities. I'd be surprised if there's not already a bot that can auto visit cities and collect the gifts.
Hey! I just started playing but I don't understand how the sim cash works. The game tells me I have to have cash to buy materials to build. How come your cash isn't depleting at all?

It's wild that this is the video not from EA with the most views. It's definitely funny, unintentionally. If anyone is watching, in case this hasn't been said already... The reason the gifts in other cities stopped showing up is that he kept going back to the same city over and over. Also, there's other videos that actually analyze the cost/time ratio of various items. But at this level of the game I can see where the wood makes sense.
keep your sims happy at 100%, work on keys to get items then boost popuplation is the fastest way to make simoleons. I am at level 40 with 700k plus population which generate a daily tax at 20k plus of simoleons.
Tips from lvl 33, 550k population, 200 storage account.. you don't need to buy ingame item with real money. its not necessary. Secondly, its best to ''farm' ur cash at lower level such as level 17-19. Try not to focus on increasing population because it gets ur level higher, therefore unlocking a lot of things to build.. it will get hectic and you will be frustrated when it floods ur storage. Third, always save storage items such as the lock, cctv, bar... because storage is incredibly important for late game (level 30+) even at my level now, its difficult even with 200 storage. Fourth, put emphasis on obtaining keys, because they really help when you buy landmarks/entertainment hubs/transport. My advice is to be patient when saving up keys, go for the most expensive one because its incredibly worth it. More tips, but i;m reaching limit here. Cheers

I agree but find it hard not to play for that long. I'm on 33 but I think I'm going start a second account or city and play one whenever I like and farm the other. Faster method, set up a strip of road and place down a bunch of construction sites. Create the lowest tier building, destroy it, then add a new construction site. Since the amount of coins per upgrade isn't dependant of building level, you end of getting almost 1000 coins per building. Spend 10 minutes doing this and you can gemather over 15000 coins. Another method is to save money and get an education building or transport building. Then save keys and buy a building that has at least a 25% population increase. Place it right it the center of your city. You should get a huge amount of people move in. After that, collect taxes.
if I upgrade 1 building I will become level 16 and then they need a hospital but I don't have any money so I can't upgrade anything this is why I'm watching this guy
I am lvl 33 with over 500k sims and 100% happiness,don't ever sell anything that you need to upgrade your storage,try to avoid getting your storage full,build parks for ever sims and don't build new houses until other constructions are fully built,build,2 houses at a time,if you over build you will encounter a lot of problems and find yourself losing more cash. I have a lot more tips ask if you're interested.
What I always do is that I buy the things I need for upgrading a house instead of making them myself bc all in all you get the money with the upgradingmoney back. For example: I need 5 wood to upgrade. I go to trade center and buy it for like 200(for example) and i upgrade my house. For the upgrade i get like 1.800 simoleons.
I have more than a million Sims in my main city and they are 100% happy. My other 2 regions are also 100% happy. Not that difficult to maintain. Oh, and, by the way, I have more than $7 million in Sim Cash and I have never done any "begging". I have, however, collected "free gifts" for visiting other player's cities.
I'm a level 10 with 70,000+ population, 300 storage, and $100,000+ in the bank... And you think this is helpful to people? Ha! I tried giving tips but RU-vid cut me off so all I really have to say is upgrade your storage and use your golden keys. Stop focusing on money and give your sims what they want. They will repay you in taxes and then you don't have to do this tedious BS. Never sell storage, land, beach or mountain items. One items is always abundant and one is always scarce, it evens itself out. The best time to play is when people in China are playing. The more expensive the time for sale in the depot, go to the city, they are most likely cleaning out their storage and have specialty items they don't advertise. Never advertise special items, they will get sold regardless, save the advertisements for the shitty wood you're selling.

NefariousVirtuoso88 If you're in a situation like me thats not a good idea. Im close to level 12 and i barely have any money but i will need money to buy the police station when i level up. You get xp from upgrading buildings but not from this method.
You're right. You're no real gamer. You really should brush up a bit on the game so you actually know what you're talking about. See those blue "pills", as you describe them? They're plastic. Like a 50 gallon plastic tub. These are all materials for building. Like in BuildIt. Good luck building with with pills. Or the toothpaste which the rest of us know is glue. Oh, and those pesky gold keys you hate. Those are actually used to buy special structures for your city. Very helpful if you really want to make your city grow....kind of the object here, eh? Nice try but stick to your night job.
I'm now level 14, 77k people and 100 % happiness. Why feel bad for me? My city is doing well, no bad opinion bubbles, all the necessary services provided to ALL buildings. No over population, just fully upgraded buildings. Try again.
How the hell Do you guys have money? I'm constantly strapped trying to buy fire departments and waste management been selling crack by the beach to make a few simolines. 😓
