Hi!
In today's video, I'm showing how I made a grounding connection between the brake and the SimJack Pro controller. The solution I implemented was a suggestion to eliminate EMI for Heusinkveld Ultimate pedals - if you want to delve deeper into the topic, Google this phrase: "Heusinkveld Ultimate grounding."
EMI interference is quite a complex phenomenon, and it's not guaranteed that a single cable will completely solve the problem. So far, users have tackled this by making makeshift GND connections between the pedals and a screw on the controller's housing, or by using ferrite filters or active USB filters.
Personally, I recommend buying a good powered, active USB hub and connecting your sim racing devices to it. Additionally, it's good practice to avoid using longer USB cables than necessary, avoid creating large cable bundles, and ensure the quality of your cables and that they are shielded.
Interference usually occurs with simulators equipped with motion, but many users of SimJack Pro pedals have reported signal interference caused by CSL DD bases. If this problem affects you, you can try the solutions I mentioned.
The 3D models of the parts shown in the video are available for Patrons.
