These thing beat everything at the price point and is even better than some pedals at a higer price point in my opinion (looking at my old V3 pedals that got replaced by these). Having said that, these things are not perfect right out of the box and for me needed some adjustment to get them to my liking. The elastomers that come with the brake pedal are to weak so I replaced them with skate board bushings (yes, got the idea from your Sim Jack Mini video). Another thing is that some of the bolts where a bit loose and had to be tightent. Not a huge problem but is something you should look for. Not saying that they all come with loose bolts, but mine did and I've seen others that had the same problem. I also believe that you really need a heel plate (unless you have giants feet) to rest your feet. The brake pedal is to high without it and it affected my braking. I paid about € 200 including shipping for a 3 pedal set with 2 rods (clutch and brake). You can't really lose at that price point. It is more aimed at the sim racer that likes to tinker around a bit.
@Cevap05
@Cevap05 Год назад
Currently on V3s, what would you say are the biggest differences you noticed coming from them? Also do you think the haudralic rod (i assume is the dampner) is pretty important to get with them as well or no?
@victorcatorz5731
@victorcatorz5731 Год назад
@@Cevap05 The biggest difference would be the ease of adjustabillity with the Sim Jack pedals. My main issue with the V3s was the brake pedal. This is personal because I like a very hard pedal with a minimum amout of travel. Ofcourse the Sim Jack pedal is also to soft out of the box, but I spent €10 on some skate board bushings to get them to be perfect for me. From the reviews I have seen, the brake performance kit for the V3s won't get me the needed stiffness and would cost me € 32 (including shipping). I think the main selling point would be the price when compared to the V3s. My total setup cost for the Sim Jack Pro's was a little under € 250. This includes 3 pedals with 2 rods, skate board bushings from a local store and a Sim Lab heel plate. The V3 will cost € 399 without shipping and without the bp kit (which should be included). As for the rod, I think it depends on how you like your brake pedal. If you use it as is or with stiffer elastomers with the pre-load spring, than I think you need it on the brake. In my case it was not needed on the brake pedal because I took out the pre-load spring and replaced everything with skate board bushings. I think it is needed on the clutch pedal. I tried the clutch without but it just felt weird. Also tried the rod on the throttle but I didnt like it. Felt like I had to use to much force. I orded my set with 2 rods because it was a small increase on the price and would rather have them now than to have to order them later and having to pay extra for shipping. Sorry for the long reply😄

Nice glad this video came out! Just as a suggestion I think many people would love to see a video where a direct comparison is done with other pedals of this caliber such as HV Ultimates, VRS, etc. Stuff like that really helps people decide on what to buy.

Received mine last month, 400$ Can with costum fees. For the price it is very good, clutch and gas are great but the brake is too soft out of the box for my taste. I changed the preload spring (I don’t like preload) for a very hard one and the elastomere were too soft also, nothing you can’t resolve with imagination. The construction is good and the feeling is also very good now. A great buy for the price here in Canada.

I'm in Ontario and have had mine installed for about a week now and I love 'em. Like any decent set you'll want to double check bolts and such before mounting and well if some need tightening, they were cheap LOL. This is what I did to make them almost perfect in my opinion. First installed on the pedal mount with heel rest was critical because of the height of the pedal and the location of the pivot point in relation to my ankle. Adjusting the angles of both throttle and clutch rearward and not altering the brake. Adjust the pedal throw stops to the proper distance for my legs muscle memory with the dead-stop. Since throttle is almost always on, I've adjusted the max to 80% of the pedal travel so I can lighten up my pressure and still be full out. Softening up the throttle with the damper position and spring tension backed off to where resistance is certain and controllable with accuracy. With my brake I have replaced the first two sections of 70A elastomers with M10 85A rubber spacers from Hawkeng on Amazon. In addition I have ordered both red and green compression springs for the brake to make it a little more stiff than what it is. Definitely the clutch can use some adjusting to feel the bite point how you'd expect, or close anyhow, but with the fantastic adjustment combinations the feel of each pedal could and should be fine-tuned to your high expectations. In a tedious but short week my pedals are nothing short of fantastic now for $400 Canadian.✌😎

Apparently they have a 50% off deal for "first order price" and the total, including free shipping is $335 CAD for me. I can't even get a set of Fanatec CSL Elite V2's shipped to my door for that little. This is an incredible deal. Even accounting for the fiddly software and probably long wait time for shifting. Nobody can match this deal. I think I've found my pedals. Only issue is they don't come with a pedal mounting plate and all I have is a NLR GT-Lite, so it's going to be fun figuring out a heel rest. Might need to set the pedal mounts flat on the floor.

@tednicholl7025
@tednicholl7025 Год назад
Cheap is perspective so you will need to consider end cost in that evaluation. I knew it was coming, who doesn't have to pay taxes? Customs fees are inevitable but reasonable too as well as the brokerage fees from UPS. All considered, the pedals cost me $325 Canadian with free shipping. I was charged the taxes of course, then customs fees and brokerage fees which totaled $83, not unreasonable at all. So now the Sim Jack Pro with pistons cost a grand total of $408 Canadian. Pretty good deal if you ask me, but that's just my perspective. Cheers✌😎

Bought mine at the same time as you and agree that they look amazing for the price! Couple of things that might be worth pointing out. I see you also have the metal control box. It appears that these are getting sent out on all the newer orders and it looks to be a revised control box which replaces the old plastic one. I've heard that with this new control box you don't need to run a ground wire to get smooth inputs like you needed to do with the old one. Could be worth checking this in your review. The dampers that they sell seem to be gas springs rather than dampers, so they add resistance but don't actually do much to dampen anything (Although they might have a slight dampening effect due to friction). They are cheap when buying the kit so is probably worth adding it on like you say.
