Having a kid and old age made Simon soft, I never realised watching so many of his shows as a kid was the underlying influence to my bluntness and honesty 😂

He is not rude and cruel. He is just giving very harsh but necessary criticism. Because let me ask you this, would you rather let somebody continue to have a false hope, and find out the hard way that their hope is false, such as singing, or, would you give them harsh but necessary criticism, telling them that their hope is false so they don't have to find out the hard way? That's what Simon days. Well I do agree he can take it too far, 99% of the time, he is very nice and very forgiving. He's only direct and blunt with people because he does not want them to continue to have a false hope. He does insult them yes, but he does not insult them on a personal level. He insults them on a non-personal level. They're singing voice is not personal. If it were something like their family or their home life, then that would be personal. But a singing voice is not. so I find it to be absolutely shocked that you have concluded that Simon is a rude, insensitive, jerk. because he isn't. He's actually donated quite a lot to charity and has helped many things for good causes. For example, he gave one parent $500,000 so he could sustain their kids. Because he was in a bad spot. Simon Cowell is the way he is because, simply put, he does not want to give people a false hope. He gives them harsh but necessary criticism. And while I do agree he does insult them from time to time, it is not on a personal level. Because again, somebody singing voice, is not a personal matter.
@@infodisco4097he is rude and insensitive because even if it's not personal his trying to actually criticize them and tell them how they can be better and not to just give up on their dreams, but that's probably his job to be the rude funny, sassy judge so i doubt he'll ever stop, on top of that i think he is being wuite personal when he talks about people's appearance because that's not something they can change and he called somebody ugly despite that. I'd like to think his just joking and that's probably what the contestants think so too. His been wrong about contestants before and but then again so have i.
