Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran on "Loose Women" at the ITV studios. London, UK - 13.06.12. Includes an excerpt of "Planet Earth" (at 05:45) from "A Diamond in The Mind" upcoming DVD/CD/Blu-ray.
What a sweet man and tremendous role model for everyone. Never lost his composure....or acted like a twit rock star. Good for you Simon and THANKS DUDE for helping a middle aged man find his youth again. And THANKS for the music when I was a kid!!!
and I noticed he only hugged the older lady but was just cordial with the younger ladies, as not to offend his beautiful wife Yasmin. Now that's CLASS!
I watched the interview with John Taylor on this show before this one then saw Simon on the show so I had to watch this one as well. Both Simon and John still have outgoing personalities and both are such charming gentlemen. Great interview.
Simon is so great - very down to Earth, and easy to talk to.. and funny - a bit nerdy (which I find to be a cute quality in my men, I married a man in IT.... go figure)!! I would love to meet him 1 day! >>I saw this limited release film, played in a small theater in Washington, DC. It was very weird - totally different style, but I still loved it - Duran2 can go forever and ever in my mind! -------------------------------------------------- Interesting Side story: As we were leaving the theater, around 2300, walking back to the metro. 2 men in nice suits asked us to stay on the side of the street we were on, ie: not cross the street. I wondered why??? I could tell they were Secret Service agents - with the suits, guns and ear pieces - but why?? He promised it was nothing bad ..... ~ Then 4 black, huge SUVs arrived in front of the Bike store driving like they had stolen the cars.... it all happened so fast, it was crazy! As soon as the SUVs came to a screeching halt, we saw about 8-10 Secret Service guys RUNNING towards 1 of the SUVs. There was clearly a person they were guarding in the middle of them, wearing a hoodie - so it was hard to tell - but I managed to catch a glimpse of the hand, a for a quick second, the face - *It was Barack Obama!!* Once they shoved him in the SUV, they took off like a bat out of hell!! From 0-40 MPH in a few seconds. It was pure pandemonium!! I guess the bike shop let him come in after hours to shop... it almost ruined my awesome D2 movie night? (ok, honestly = there's nothing that could ruin a D2 event!!) The Secret Service guys LIED saying _'"it won't be bad I promise"_- LOL... seeing Obama was horrible!! I've had nightmares ever since this night! LMFAO :)
Love how as Simon greets each of the host very earnestly, yet gives Janet Street-Porter the hug and kiss with a nice Hello Dear. Can see why with her lovely comment "your videos are so glamorous" - an endearing lady. But then, how about the more biting approach of some of the other anchors. E.g. Andrea McLean's: "and whats with the beard now?" This just in: New Brit/Yank women's commentary show coming soon staring Andrea McLean and Joy Behar titled "Loose Views"
Why don't the women get up for the guest? If they had it wouldn't be so awkward for him and he would given them all a hug and kids probably. He wasn't exactly gonna bend over and do it was he? As for Janet getting an extra warm greeting, I think they go back a long long time.
Always enjoy how the Trolls pop up on every video, sharing their hatred and negativity. Finding a reason why THEY'RE right and everyone else is wrong. Love those Trolls. Make me proud to be human.
Thought he was going to discuss promiscuous women. Not sure why he'd be any type of expert in that area, but the topic never came up. The woman in blue on the left: wow.
If you ignore his papa smurf beard (not teasing this is a affectionate jab) he looks just the same as he did in the planet earth video, as in ageing well.
Your Joking right many of their songs from the 1980's still hold up today Like "The Chauffeur ", Anyone out there, Save a Prayer, "Notorious" , Hold Me, Skin Trade, American Science, I don't want your love, All she wants is- etc etc
Ι was in Mykonos last summer in a fancy club l and then "girls on film" started to play ,I was in a goth club in London 2 years ago and "chauffeur" start playing ,then in a local pub in milan last week and "reach up for the sunrise" starts booming ,nuff said
