The Yurchenko double pike vault is a skill that involves a round-off onto the springboard, a back handspring onto the vaulting table, and a double pike somersault in the air before landing. Biles is the first woman to perform the vault in international competition and the first to land it successfully. She did it in the qualifying round on October 1, 2023. Biles scored 15.766 for the vault, which was the highest score of any event in the qualifying round.
