I may have missed it, but I did not hear you recommend the type of blade to use. Having made a number of boxes with a single blade, I found that to achieve the perfect joint without voids, I purchased a Trend Waveform blade which has chisel edge cutting edges which are at 90 degrees to the blade plate, and are basically rip-teeth like a handsaw.
