FAQ: Q: Can it work on Bedrock Edition? A: No. Q: What is the lowest supported version? A: Java 1.14 and above, 1.14 and 1.15 needs work stations on the bed. Q: How to see the direction? A: Press F3. Q: Does the platform have to be dirt? A: Any solid blocks, such as wood and cobblestone. Q: What are the requirements for the surrounding environment? A: 1. There should be no place higher than the spawning platform within 8 blocks of the villagers. If there is, you can use the buttons, flower or slabs to cover them up. 2. There should be no other villagers within 10 blocks of the villagers, otherwise they may spawn golems in other places 3. There should be no other iron golems within 16 blocks of the villagers; Q: Why don't villagers pathfind to the bed? A: There are work stations or other beds nearby. Q: Distance between 2 farms? A: The horizontal distance between villagers and other spawn platforms is more than 16 blocks, otherwise the efficiency will be reduced. Q: Why is the rates low? A: 1. The digging distance is not enough. 2. There are snow or torches, flowers, etc. on the platform to prevent the iron golems from spawning. 3. The surrounding is not lit up, and the iron golems are attracted by other mobs 4. There are other iron golems wandering around 16 blocks. Q: Why didn't golems spawn at first? A: Built too high. Q: Why did golems stopped spawning after a while? A: Check whether the villagers are sleeping at night. If they are sleeping, there are other iron golems within 16 blocks nearby. If villagers don't sleep, there are other zombies within 8 blocks nearby scaring the villagers. Q: Can flowers be replaced by other blocks? A: Torches, buttons, slabs, carpets, etc. are all fine. Q: Why does the iron golem get stuck at the edge of the water and can't go down? A: If the hole is in the right direction, it rarely happens. It will go down after a while, and it will have little effect on the efficiency. Q: Why does the iron golem keep hitting me, even after being respawned? A: The village has a reputation system. If you kill too many villagers or iron golems, you will lose reputation. You can restore it by trading, saving villagers, or wining a raid. Q: Will increasing the number of villagers improve efficiency? A: No. Q: Will it have any effect if I use a wall to surround it? A: As long as there are slabs or buttons on the top of the wall to prevent iron golems from being spawned, it doesn't matter. Q: Does it matter if you dig down more? A: No. Q: Will the efficiency increase if campfires are replaced with lava? A: No. Q: Why doesn't need to nametag zombie? A: Zombies sitting in boat will not disappear. Q: Will the farm work when players are far away? A: No, it can be placed in the spawn chunk or use with a chunk loader. Q: What mods do you for free camera? A: Tweakeroo. Q: What mod are you using to see the parameters of the villagers? A: Carpet mod.
Hi Scorpio, apologies if kind of out of topic but do you happen to know the name of the outlined texture pack in this video? I am in the middle of making some tutorial too, so it will be a very useful tool to count blocks.
This is so easy to build. Another question can I replace boat with minecart for my second platform. Since iron golem in my first platform keep killing the zombie.
boat is needed i think, becuz the height of the zombie might matter, i think u can temporarily stop the first one from working by putting non spawnable blocks (slabs, buttons, etc.) on top of the platform, get ur zombies in place then remove the blocks.
Hey, I encountered an issue with some of the farms I built. The villagers are umping way too much, instead of bobbing they are splashing, with their heads going above the trapdoor. This lowers the rates and sometimes the villagers glitch out of the cell, dropping out. Any idea what is the cause?
@@Scorpio03 did that already. Also tried moving the boat forward and back. And changed the trapdoor (hinge on top or bottom). Didn't check if it's a direction thing. Also not sure why they picked the northwest corner.
@@matiassu5604 hmm, tbh i have no clue in that case, did u rebuilt the whole thing and it still doesnt work? and the direction is important becuz how iron golem path finds.
@@Scorpio03 Solved it. A top slab beside the trapdoor (on top of the swimming villagers) should do the trick. Another thing to note is that two zombies on the boat sometimes mess with pathfinding. Don't do that.
I built 3 modules of this farm 16 blocks from each other (counting from waterlogged trapdoor) and I noticed cats appearing around there, does that mean I did something wrong?
Its because in 1.19, there is a bug that that increases the iron golem spawning cool down time. It used to be 30 seconds but its 35 because of the bug.
