This cake comes through for any Valentine’s Day special recipe or any day of the week. It is rich with cocoa and vanilla flavors.
Ingredients
For the pound cake 1 pk (8 oz) cream cheese @ room Temp3 sticks salted butter @ room temp3 cups granulated sugar6 eggs @ room temperature2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
3 cups AP flour
¼ cup cocoa powder
2 Tbsp hot coffee
1 cup buttermilk @ room temp
3 teaspoons red food coloring (add enough to achieve your preferred color)
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
8 oz cream cheese @ room temp
1/2 stick of butter
2- 2½ cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Pour batter into prepared pan and Bake for 70-80 minutes. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean with no wet batter.
