You're going to love this - I'm uploading ALL of the Physics HL videos this week. You'll see the playlists for the HL be added in the Physics section on the page

They've all been added. Physics HL playlists all updated. You might be happy to know that I even included two of the options (Relativity and Astrophysics). If you have exams this summer, that won't matter but in case you have exams in November or else in May 2022 then those will help you perhaps as well. :)

im gonna be real honest here about me studying physics hl in ib. I can understand the concepts and how to solve questions given in the video but when i do actual ib questions, i am not able to do it.anyone else also in the same situation?

Have I got good news for you! In OSC Study, we're about to launch (in Feb 2022) full IB exam solutions, including a video explanation. So there we explain how to solve every part of every question.

Hey Mitch! I have watched your video on topic 6. Just a question, what is the difference btwn angular speed & angular frequency since they are both denoted by omega and use the same formula for calculation? When do you classify them as which?

Hey Sir, why is the angular frequency the gradient of the displacement-acceleration graph? 05:24
@OSC1990
@OSC1990 3 года назад
Good question - using the equation a = -w^2 x, you can look at it like a linear equation of the form y = mx + c Remember in general that m is the gradient, and c is the y-intercept. In this case, c = 0 since the y-intercept is zero. Now for the gradient, we have to look at the equation for a. I just wrote at the start that a = -(w^2) x Well, that means that is we see it as a linear graph and map out what the y, x, m, and c do, we have: y = a x = x (that was easy), and m = (w^2). Since m = gradient, therefore w^2 = gradient. Finally, w = sqrt(gradient)

for gradient question, i tried it with using two different points (0.2,-1000) and (0,0) and w^2 resulted to be 5000000 so the final result for me was 355.9. shouldn't it be the same? and will the exam board give a range for the results as we are reading it form a graph?
@OSC1990
@OSC1990 11 месяцев назад
Yes, when you put a value in that's based on a graph, there will be a range of values that are accepted by the examiner. So just trust yourself when you do your exam, and do the best you can - show your work and you're often getting more marks than you think! :)

@OSC1990
@OSC1990 2 года назад
Hah, it depends. There is some SHM in the SL topic 4 (Waves). There's also in the HL where it goes more into detail with the equations. In SL you shouldn't need to use the equations in this video.
