I grew up in the 80s and followed many bands but late to Simple Minds. Consider me a fan of their music now. Better late than never. I have the orignal New Gold Dream and ordered the Live from Paisley Abbey. Bravo.

This takes me back 38 years and buying the New Gold Dream LP album and watching Live Aid on the telly from JFK Stadium and Wembley Stadium in -85. The best live concerts in my lifetime.

This song is my 2nd favourite Simple Minds songs, I don't mean to diss Jim Kerr because it is understandable at his age now but I do notice some of that spark in his voice is gone, but as I said it's understandable at 64yrs old. Oh also can I point out the drummer.... a black female....this made me so happy, YOU GO GIRL ❤❤❤ I'm sorry I don't know her name but she is so beautiful and talented 😍 I hope they keep her.

Sounding good Loved Simple Minds 3 albums from the 80's New Gold Dream/ Sparkle In The Rain & Once Upon A Time but didn't care much for the rest of their works apart from the odd single now & then. The Lady drummer looks great I must say though

This modern sound doesn't do this song justice. In my mind, all the magic lies within (apart from the magnificence of this song) the crisp loud drums, guitar and bass sound, which are muffled in this clip. I did enjoy it a lot though.

Shame the keyboard player does not replicate the clavinet octaves that occur on the original cut at 3:24 and again at 3:30. They are integral to the song.
