A Delicious, no-knead sourdough bread recipe that will have you wondering why you hadn't started baking sourdough bread sooner! The sourdough can be mixed and baked on the same day and simplifies what other recipes turn into a complicated process!
I spent years looking for a simple and easy process to bake sourdough bread for my family. I've finally found the secret to baking the perfect sourdough sandwich loaf that does not require days of preparation.
Step 1 - Feeding Your Sourdough
Discard
Add equal parts All Purpose Flour & Filtered Water
Mix Thoroughly
Ferment Overnight
Step 2 - Weigh & Mix Ingredients
Filtered Water (360g)
Sourdough Starter (100g)
Whisk/Mix
All Purpose Flour (200g)
Wheat Flour (300g)
Salt (10g)
Blend Dry Ingredients
Mix All Ingredients
Let Rise (1-3 Hours)
Step 3 - Stretch and Fold (3 Sets)
5 Stretch and Folds
Let Rise (1-3 Hours)
Repeat 3 Times
Step 4 - Pan Preparation & Final Rise
Grease Pan
Add Cornmeal
Stretch and Shape Loaf
Let Rise (30-60 Minutes)
Step 5 - Bake!
Bake for 45 Minutes
Remove From Pan
Cool on Baking Rack
Slice & Serve!

Ohh this is GOLD!! Thank you for this video!! I've made many sourdough loafs the last year but honestly, the 2-day process has caused me to make it less and less haha I will try this first thing in the morning, sourdough is my favorite kind of bread and just the thought of being able to make it in one day is SO exciting to me!! I was so excited to share this recipe for that reason! This is the only way I've been able to consistently keep making sourdough loaves weekly. All of the other multiple day processes I had tried were too much for me. I can't wait to hear how it turns out for you! 😊

Hooray for fall baking--looks delicious. These cool mornings have been glorious! Was that a Berkey or a cheaper-than-berkey alternative water filter?

Thank you, Jeanette! The cool weather has been wonderful - it's been a bit chilly on those walks to let the chickens out in the morning! Our water filter is from Radiant Life. I believe it may be a bit cheaper than a Berkey? I wish we would have gotten the larger size. The ceramic filters are amazing. Its the only way we've consumed water for years now. We originally got it when we lived in the city as a means for removing the fluoride from our city supplied water. :)

Could you clear something up for this novice sourdough bread baker? In the stretch and fold phase, do you wait 1-3 hours between each stretching session, or do you accomplish all three stretch and folds within the 1-3 hours? Thanks. (I love your channel. New subscriber after watching your Azure Standard posts.)

Hi MamaT! Wait 1-3 hours between each stretch and fold stage. I've found that the warmer the place is where the dough is resting between the phases helps it rise better too 🤗

Oh gosh, it hurts my heart when ppl toss sour dough. You can easily just place the discard in the fridge and when you get enough you can make crackers.
