This was great! I loved all the info, and the recipe looks delicious (plus a lesson in Chinese at the end). I'd also try this recipe with other Asian Radishes I've come across. Thanks! ❤☮ 🌎
I just made it for lunch and I really liked how it tuned out, I'll definitely make it again! Next time I'll cook it much less though, I don't think it needs to be so soft. I would like it better if the core of the daikon would keep some of its crunch.
Yes indeed! People like their radish in different texture, try it a few times and find your favorite way to cook it is def the best way to explore different cultural food! Just bewared that the raw daikon sometimes has a grassy taste if it's not completely cook through, some ppl like the taste some don't. if that becomes a problem, you can pickle the radish in salt before cooking to get rid of the taste for around 20 minutes, wash them clean, and then cook, will get rid of the taste.
Just made this with scallion (coz I grow them), then I watched the video on scallions and green onions etc. Now I realise I've always thought shallots were spring onions! Anyway it tastes really delicious. So happy I found this channel! Thanks from Australia Yeah!
Nice! I grow scallion myself as well with leftover stems from the ones i purchase in the grocery store, they grow so easily and non-stop lol. I enjoy making same same but different series of video so much cuz i learn a lot by doing research myself as well! I'm currently working on different types of onions and should be out in a few weeks, so stay tuned! Thanks for watching and glad my content is useful for you♥
@@ericayeahtw Do you grow them in water or in soil? I usually grow them in water but they don't regrow with much taste. I would like to try put them in soil. I wonder if they could regrow more than once in soil.
@@WhatashameMaryJane i grow the stems(2 inches left at least)in water, you can buy some liquid fertilizer to add in the water, I’m not very good at gardening but I believe nitrogen is what most greens need. So you can either put them outside to get water with rain(natral nitrogen) or get fertilizer. But growing from seeds is def better cuz you can harvest more then twice. I only regrow the store bought stem ones and i’ll use it off
This is one of the old video i made, so it’s not the best. I’m trying to be more precise and less repetitive as i could. But My recipe is more about the details instructions, the why and how, and some extra knowledge, if you’re looking for quick recipe or food porn, this is the wrong place for you unfortunately. Thanks for watching:)
