This is a simple start and drive a Massey Ferguson 35 x tractor. Feel a bit like Kaleb in Clarksons Farm by jumping on a tractor! This video is just a basic start and drive showing where to find the controls and get the tractor moving.
We first take a look around the Massey Ferguson 35 and see that it has aged well since it was built in 1963. It has a 3 cylinder diesel engine which turns over easily and fires into life. We do have a grass cutter attached but we are not using any of the equipment today.
The pedals are in logical positions and the main difference is that the throttle is on a hand control. Having the throttle lever makes perfect sense as the tractor will be at a constant speed when in use.
For those of us who have been watching Clarkson's Farm and Kaleb Cooper this year the temptation to jump on a tractor was too much to resist. When the owner said would you like a go my son and I were keen to do some tractoring.
