Brilliant finish it gives the interior a more contemporary and attractive look. Also I think coaster comparison for size and value sees to be the better buy. However budget size weight and economy maybe the deciding factor for many.
It looks great!! I'm doing the same skinner slats as opposed to the wider and think it makes it look great! I don't want it to look like all the others. Great job!

I am currently away (3months now) but due back early Nov, I was going to have my roof covered by material and then for the wooden slats but I think I will paint it as you have done as there will not be a great deal on show. Van going to A1 trimmers for seat cushions and trim soon.
Haha no one wants a bit of sag! :) Ceiling looks great and we love the slats, the colour really compliments the rest of the bus (said Cat the wife) . It's something we've been thinking about and love the jig. Yes procrastination runs rife here too! :)

I procrastinated so much it took me 2 days to get round to posting this reply 🤣 Ceiling looks lush 😎 I love pull saws, i find them Easyer to cut a straight line with 🤔 maybe it's just me but i find them more controllable 🤪 having said that i am a total numpty when it comes to woodworking, hense my build being aluminium and Upvc 🤠 As allways guys a great job 😎
100% agree with that on the pull saw, they are brilliant things to use for the little details and we love ours. It has been so useful. Thanks for your kind words too - hope your build is going well 😊
Ceiling look's great! I do like a slatted ceiling over the usual cladding or carpet lot's of people do. I spent a lot of time procrastinating during our build, I don't think it's a bad thing as it gives you lots of time to consider what you've done and if there's a better way to finish it 😁

@@fergusmoloney for the ceiling I used a mix of 16mm and 25mm brads. 16mm for the strips and 25mm for the end as I was nailing into a beam at that point. You can get all sorts of lengths depending on what you’re doing.
Love all your bus build, we are building a truck camper and wanting a slatted ceiling using plywood. Did you cut your plywood strips down on a table saw?
Thanks Paul. So on this occasion we actually got the supplier to cut it using their saw as it was very reasonable price wise to do so. If we’d had a table saw we could’ve done it.
It is a known law that every hour spent working requires 3 hours contemplating that work, I use the same Jig method but recycle old wooden Venicican blinds instead of plywood so must also have a weird brain! I guess soon the Van will be finished and you will have to start making Mini videos finally?
@@WanderbusAdventures It is mostly recommission work as it's a 78 with only 14,000 miles and they do not like sitting for 40 years only doing a few hundred a year,once I get the reverse gear working again it will be a lot less challenging 🤐
Brilliant job! I am planning on doing the same in my van 😁 maybe slightly wider slats 😉 I have done a sky blue ceiling, I don’t like the dark feel either. I soooo procrastinate when I am building 😁
