Viewers who have watched my many different videos on these fabulous microphones (that I bought some years ago to record my Piano at home), will know that in general, I record the Audio and Video separately. That is to say that I record video into one phone (using the Filmic Pro app) and audio into another (using MOTIV Audio app).

To get this result, I need to combine the audio and video on my computer to produce the finished product. However, for some this might be too much messing about and a simpler solution will suit many different situations.
The Shure MV88/MV88+ have a remarkably rich feature set which I described in detail in this original video on the MOTIV Audio App ( • How to Configure the S... ). Luckily, once we set these features using the MOTIV Audio App, the microphone remembers them and will use many of them with whatever subsequent app we might use. However, this means we need to keep changing apps to adjust the microphone.
However, Shure have remedied this by introducing a Video App which takes the Audio App and incorporates also control over the phone's camera. We are now able to capture up to 4K Video and control the Microphone all from within the same App.
