In this self defence video, we demonstrate and explain simple ways to defend and counter against low kicks.
Low kicks are very common attacks that can be thrown by both trained and untrained attackers and if not properly defended against can have disabling consequences.
We demonstrate 3 possible options for defending and countering against this type of attack, as well as discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each technique.

Ill share something i learned from a guy that studied at Shaolin. As the kick comes in anchor your leg and position your shin at the angle the kick is coming in. Your shin will hurt. His will break! Ive seen it work. The kicker suddenly got floppy leg syndrome.😊

At 2:58, if you raise your leg that way, it may get swept. To avoid that, you should raise your leg sideways, not in front of your body.

Problem with someone performing a quick and hard low kick to you is, that he probably know how to fight. I call low kicks easy kicks because the cost little stamina and are easy and quick. A higher kick is slower and can easily be catcht what can bring you in real problems. I always hope to meet a fancy kicker (roundhouse and stuff). A low kick is quick in and quick out.
