It has a semi specific duty as opposed to the big ones. Bigger goes deeper. And allows several signals at once where as the 24 is precise and good for single signals in a smaller area
Those 100% nickel coins are tricky since nickel being a ferrous metal sounds off as such found my first one a Canadian dime with the bounty hunter gold digger gives a crackle foil type sound a barely diggable signal right above iron I could probably hit a few motherloads at the parks around here for whatever reason ppl throw away Canadian coins sometimes they think they can’t do anything with it and it probably gets disced out as foil or iron
