Here's the unboxing of my new Simplex 4903-9356 fire alarm speaker/strobe. This model is special because it has a selectable smart-sync switch. Smart-sync allows every alarm on the circuit to have strobe and tone synchronization. This is a nice feature for installers, however, it can only be used with a modern Simplex panel or other special simplex parts. For collectors and hobbyists such as myself, getting one with the special selectable switch makes things easy when using it on different panels. Thank you for watching, subscribe!

My school has tons of these TrueAlert speakerstrobes. Whats interesting is that while we have some of these, it’s mainly filled with light strobes, the alarm bell sounds out of the PA intercom system. Rather strange

Cool! I remember seeing the white version of those Simplex speaker strobes at the cancer center I went to. There was one day the system did go off, luckily evacuation wasn't required though I forget what caused it to sound and what the voice said.

Nice! I went to a mall and I saw TrueAlerts similar to these except for the fact that they are 9357 and 9358 models due to the fact that they have brighter strobes. 9356 is 15CD, 9357 is 75CD, 9358 is 110CD.

Hey. How do you deal with a hardwired smoke detector going off with a false alarm. It happened to me twice within a two hour span shortly after I had undergone surgery

Quick question. I have a Simplex 4906-9151 Truealert Speaker Strobe, and I was wondering if that had a switch that you could use to go from SmartSync and Free Run?

The 4906-9151 only outputs SmartSync. It's not addressable. You would need a 4905 SCM in order to make the strobe flash.

This is not addressable. This is a conventional selectable free run/smartsync speaker strobe.

I don't recommend you power the strobe on fwr because it could ruin the strobe if you run it for too long

Yesterday at school the fire alarm went off because I had a popcorn machine and it was shooting out smoke and the smoke detector caught the smoke and thaught it was a fire then the fire alarm went off and wasted my glow dance time it was sad
