The dress fits well. 👏🏻👏🏻You are right about the camouflage effect outside. 🤣🤣. I run hot so polyester is not my favorite fabric. Thanks for sharing. ❤️🧵
I Love what you did with this pattern, the sleeves look great! I would’ve never thought of that change. It looks great on you! Definitely looks better with the belt, Elastic at the waist would be cute too!
Great job! Love the print of that fabric. Im going to go check your description for your fabric source. I freeze all the time and this would be great for a blouse in the office.
You chose a fun print for your dress and it fits you really well. The belt made it even better. I just sewed a dress in a poly fabric too and was it wasn't my favorite to work with. Was it ever hard to get a good press! I haven't worn it except around the house so the jury is still out .
Your dress turned out really nice. I like it with the belt and I love the print but I'm with you on the polyester.... it's hot and creates too much static!
Good review! I would not add the pocket as it’s already a busy print. Because of all the cling at the leg area I would cut it off and make it a top 😉. Also, back in the day we used to spray our clothing on the inside with hairspray to avoid the cling with polyester. I think these days some say to rub the inside with a dryer sheet. The dress and pattern size fits you well! Thanks for sharing💕
I have that pattern would just overlook it, but now I think I’m going to try it. I’ll definitely have to close up the neckline before cutting it out. It’s be cute as a top too, just cutting it off. Another “job well done”!!😊😊
Now that's cute!! I was swayed away from this pattern originally since loose fitting garments don't look so great on me. You really made it look so great by adding the belt! Yeah! Not a huge fan of straight up poly fabric, yet when I look in my stash, I do have a bunch of it.
I have made this dress in a linen mix, like you the neck was far to low and had to fix that. I found the linen to stiff did not like the way it looked. will try this again in a chambray, I did put a zip in back as found it hard to get on. Susan peach
Instead of the belt you could put a piece of elastic in the back to give it shape. From 4 inches to each side from center back just to where fish eye darts would be. Especially with polyester it would leave the front a little flowy not so clingy and yet give it shape. Just an idea. I like the pattern. Think I’ll make one.
I like the dress with the belt. In the 1970s and 1980s my mother and I used to make a lot of things in polyester. Sometimes, there were a lot of skipped stitches. Also polyester can be hot in the summer. . Also back then the polyester seemed to be heavier. In recent years I have been sewing other fabrics. Polycotton fabrics are nice to sew with. I enjoyed the video.
Cute dress on you. I don't like the feel of 100% polyester fabric although I do have some in my stash. I liked the pattern in the fabric when I bought it but was disappointed in the feel and texture of the fabric...have no idea if I will ever make anything out of it. 🤣
I like the dress but I would make the neckline not so low. I ONLY use all polyester fab for tops since it is so clingy and then I sometimes make them a smidge larger in other words not tight.
I think this pattern just really has a slim fit, I need to take more pics in it because the background really took away from the cuteness of the dress.
I just made a t-shirt with some polyester and the collar band got a snag right in the middle front. Not good. Otherwise it’s a very cute top and I will wear it.
