Hey everyone, little tip to set your calculator settings back to normal you have to add the UNCLEAR program after label 4 but before Stop. Once you do this when you exit the program by selecting NO it will set your calculator settings back to normal allowing the axis for graphs to reappear. He skipped this step in the tutorial but it’s an easy fix!
For people asking for Clear and Unclear programs, you have to create them by yourself. PROGRAM: CLEAR :ClrHome :PlotsOff :ClrDraw :AxesOff :FnOff PROGRAM: UNCLEAR :FnOn :AxesOn He do have a small 3 minute video for making those programs. Its super easy just follow along.
Zoza (Zo Tha Zion) Instead of using his "CLEAR/UNCLEAR" program, just input "ClrTable" (minus the quotations). This is found by selecting PRGM Scroll over to I/O Press 9 That's it.
BriJBo that didn’t work for me Edit: when I try to use it, it is displayed over the graph and says A, . I.e. if I try to simplify 88, it will say “A, /(22) where / is the square root
Luv Zoza I finally figured out an alternative. Do everything that the other comment in here says but click “clearHome” instead of “ClearTable” idk why that made a difference but it did lol! Thanks to the person in here who commented that and helped me figure it out☺️😀
@@BriJBo I did this but I am still having a problem where my Axes do not turn back on. I have to manually do it in Format. Why does command AxesOn not work in this program?
Under "Lbl 4" instead of ending it with STOP, you can end it with prgmWHATEVERYOUNAMEDTHEUNCLEARPROGRAM then STOP so say you named the Unclear program from the other video "UNCLEAR" the last couple of lines would look like this: :Lbl 4 :prgmUNCLEAR :STOP The purpose of this is once you are done simplifying radicals, which is what "Lbl 4" is for, you can get your graphs back without having to do it manually.
Thank you! This is going to save me all year in Algebra 2 because I was never taught how to simplify square roots!! Don't really understand it either :/
Hey I've been finding your videos very useful I've made just about most of them but I'm looking for a physics program that will solve the following formulas
DomD...You the man! I liked your simprads and I am enthusiastic about FACTOR, but I am getting an error on the display code that I can't figure out. I am just thrilled I got it all in up to the last line. The error points to the first X+ in the text with the cursor on the plus sign. I am assuming the X is an alpha and not a variable, but I do not know what I can do to change the plus sign...any ideas?
perhaps you are missing a " or a , re-check that entire line of code with mine and i think that'll be your problem. If not I will continue to try to troubleshoot for you :) Have a great day!
+DomDcalcs When you install a program does it block other functions in the calculator ? for some reason when i use it. my graphing functions get fucked. i have turn on the axes on because it gets turned off. so my question can this be interfering with other functions that i wouldn't know?. in a test i cant go online looking how to fix the issue
I like your videos! Can you please show us how to use a radical and quadratic equations with work shown? like the video for distance formula btween two points?
Rachel Sabino Instead of using his "CLEAR/UNCLEAR" program, just input "ClrTable" (minus the quotations). This is found by selecting PRGM Scroll over to I/O Press 9 That's it.

When I wrote this code out on my calculator and ran it found the answer and made a parabola any idea why it would be doing this or how to fix it? (I only have a TI-84 Plus)
Do you have any programs to express the square root of -128 in terms of i? The program works great but it gives me an error saying nonreal answers which I understand.
I've got the ti84+ce. When I hit enter to get the answer, it graphs a bunch of parabolas and then shows the correct answer in the upper left hand corner of the graph. I wouldn't mind except that it takes a minute for it to graph the parabolas before it displays the answer. Does this have something to do with using the "clear table" option the second time you use the clear program? If so, would you mind putting up your old clear program video again? Or is this just something that my calc does because it is a different model? BTW, I freaking love the fact that it has colored lines. You should sooo get one of these.
Watched video twice have clear/unclear can’t find anywhere I messed up. When I go to program and click simplify radical it brings up the “input the number under the radical” then brings up err....
so i tried to click on the link and that vid is no longer there would be awesome if you had these programs so we could just pull them from a website and download on the computer

Mine did the same thing after putting this program in. It doesn't look like the program strewed anything up. I just turn on the axes whenever I use the graphing part.
You have to add the program unclear after label 4 but before stop. Once you add that it will set your calculator back to its regular settings. He skipped that step in this tutorial.
Hey so i have the brand new TI-84 Plus Ce and when I put in a number, it doesn't put a number in front only inside the radical itself, is it my calculators fault????
The clear/unclear program isn't working. I tried using the clrtbl button as in comments below and it displays on the axis. Not helpful. Also, I don't have a plots off button?
Hey i have a program we made in class for a certain exercise, but if the answer was a square root it just shows the decimal form, i want it to show the simplified square root form instead of the decimal form
I have the same calculator as you but when I name the program "simprads" it doesn't start with input the number under the radical...so do I just start with Input instead?
I make programs myself and give them to people who i think deserve them. Do you know how to make programs not transferable between other calculators? I don't want the entire school to have my programs.
I was inputting the program into it and after the Text(1,1,A," part and then the next part is Pause. In between those two there is a space. I tried to delete it but it only deleted the Text part not the space. Is this normal or did I do something wrong?
hi! i just want to ask how to set up the program to simply anything into radicals. for example, 1 over 6 square root of 5/9 is 1 over 2 square root of 5. how can I input 1over 6 square root of 5/9 into the calculator and get 1 over 2 square root of 5?
It keeps saying err:window range and when I hit foot I t brings me to the text(1,1,A,"square root(" ,X/A2,")") Line... I did everything like you did including the clear program... I have no idea what's wrong... Does it not work on the 84 plus?
Is there a way to increase the memory capacity so I can input larger numbers. Your programs are cool and very helpful but I need to input numbers in the millions.
Hoping for some help I triple checked my code and it’s all the same but it not working would anybody know why? Or is it because my calculator is a Ti-84 Plus CE
How can I insert this program into a separate program that solves quadratic equations using the quadratic formula? I have the quadratic formula working, and this one for simplifying radicals working as well, however is there a way to run these two programs together?
ummmm, am not sure if the program has anything to do with it, but after using it I cant access the Y graph. It simply displays the last calculation. I already deleted it but its still not working. what you do you think it could be?
Is there supposed to be inside POrogram "Clear"? if yes, tell me what, cause it says Error: Syntax, to check all arguments entered. and to press + on menu item for catalog Help. Please help :)
Domd, is there a quick way to solve this kind of radical on the calculator? simplify.................................................................................................... -4√18 ? The answer is -12√2 but is there a quick way to get to that answer with the ti-84?
I could send you an edited version of the above program, but all you are doing is multiplying the number in front of the radical originally (in your example -4) with the one that is put in front of it when using my program (in the case of √18 its 3) so you could just put 18 into the program it would return 3√2 and then you could multiply 3 and -4 to get -12, thus -12√2, but if you wish i will edit the code and send you the revised version.
Dom with the explanation that you just gave I probably don't need an edited version. I am a big fan of your work so I will gladly install it if provided. You have made my life easier in so many ways I could never repay you
Peter Harrington usually you can fix this by adding 2 more things to the end of your program. "ClrDraw" found in the DRAW menu (or 2nd, PRGM), and then "AxesOn" which you can find in the catalog (or 2nd, 0)
