Today I'm sharing with you a very simple yet delicious one, made with ground beef and mashed potatoes, perfect for the cold weather. I absolutely love casseroles, not only because they are very delicious but also because they are easy and ideal for busy days. Hearty, cheesy and of course delicious! You can make it ahead and leave it in your fridge and bake it at the end of the day when you come home from work!
Ingredients:
Meat:
2 tbsp butter
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
450g (1lb) ground beef
2 tomatoes
1 cup crushed tomatoes
1 sprig of rosemary
130g (1 cup) Parmesan cheese
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp Flour
Season with salt and pepper
potatoes:
450g (1lb) potatoes
1 tsp salt
220g (8oz) cream cheese
250 ml. (1 cup) heavy cream
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
Top:
200g (1 cup) shredded mozzarella cheese
